So you have to do biometrics two more times or just do it again when you renew? lol

You shouldn't have to redo the biometrics ever.. at least I don't think so. The reason I got this new appointment is because they supposedly never got the biometrics I completed 8/26/2014.

Yeah, the service request was a waste of time.. I just got the same generic bul* butter answer.

"What We Have Done

USCIS has reviewed your Service Request. According to USCIS records, we are unable to move forward with your application until the required background checks have been completed. At this time, we are unable to determine when the adjudication of your case will be completed and no further action is required from you. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by delays in processing."

BS answer is right! We're supposed to get an answer to our SR in the mail, but so far nothing, and it's been about a week since we were informed that they completed the SR. Now, I'm trying to file a service request for our K2, and there's a perpetual error. Gotta love USCIS!

This is possibly the stupidest thing I've read USCIS doing. Talk about idiotic and inefficient!

That makes zero sense. You have the proof that they DID get the biometrics, in the form of an EAD/AP card. *rolleyes*

Hi! Just received wonderful news! I just checked the USCIS website and it reads Welcome Notice Was Mailed!!! My husbands green card has finally been issued! Has any other August 2014 filers received their Welcome Notice yet? Sorry havent checked this website in a long time so I'm not sure what's going on.

Hi there! Congratulations to your husband. If I remember correctly, you got a notice of potential interview waiver letter, correct? If so, you're one of the first August people got that letter to get your green card! Congrats!

Yes we got the potential interview waiver letter a few months back. We weren't expecting to hear anything until at least after August 2015. I just decided to randomly checked the status on USCIS website and there it was "Welcome Notice Was Mailed". Not sure what we are supposed to do next now. I know we have to do Form I-751 Removal of Conditions in two years. But is there anything we still have to do now? This is what the page reads:

On May 22, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number ---------. Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by July 21, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Sounds like there is something else we need to do here.

Yes I wish luck to all of you August Filers. Hopefully this is a sign the other August Filers will be getting their Welcome Notices and Green Cards very soon too. I'm not sure if the State you live in effects the time it takes to be approved or not or maybe the Service Center. Our Service Center was Nebraska.

Congrats! By the way ADIT stands for Alien documentation identification telecommunications in order words they're registering you into the federal database. There's nothing else for you to do but wait for your card.

Congratulations. The card should be with you in 7 to 10 days time. I'm hoping to get the 'My card was mailed' status tomorrow.

Glad to see another August filer get their Green card approval and a day before mine too! Hopefully we can expect a barrage of green cards now from the rest of the filers.
