wow that's crazy that they are still on December filers :S I've seen a couple of January filers get their NOA2 though

I am a February filer, so I guess I'll have to wait until late September/October.

I suggest you visit the USCIS website, because as I mentioned before, they have changed that.

There is now a date of December, not a 5 month estimate. There are numerous threads on here talking about this.

attachicon.gifTSC times.JPG

sweetswinks: they actually do list a 5.5 month processing time in one location on the USCIS website. i don't know how to add a screen shot here - but if you go to the page where you check your case status...then scroll down below the "Your Current Case Status" section to the section that is labeled "Processing Times". Enter the information for TSC K1 and you will see that it shows TSC at 5.5 months.

----------------------------------------------------------

the data makes sense...both the 5.5 month average and the december 17, 2013 date are as of may 31, 2014. Mid-December is 5.5 months prior to May 2014. So it is accurate data - it's just not updated timely. And they still use this old data as "current" when you call.

They will update the figures for June 2014 in the next week or so (usually done the first week of the month) - and my guess is that the "processing date" will have moved to something in January. Which will probably be accurate if you consider that the data will be published as of June 2014.

it sucks that they use outdated data to determine who can file a service request - but to my knowledge they have always released data a month behind.

I know. I call once a week and its been about a month for Dec 17th. My guess they got a lot of submissions before Christmas holiday and New Years. I'm hoping they won't have a lot of cases to process for the last week of December and 1st week in January.

Lets hope!!

they updated to the december 17 date in early july. they will update the date again in early august. check the USCIS website processing times or call again after the first week of august to see the progress over the last month.

they only update the information for customer service representatives (and on the USCIS website) once a month - and will use that date until new information is released. so they have been using December 17 since that date was released in early july.

The case submission rate at TSC was pretty consistent until Feburary-March, there was definitely a peak there. TSC is backed up for two reasons, one being the priority for Filipino applicants affected by typhoon Yolanda, and more recently a priority for I-130 applicants. At some point TSC will shift their priorities to I-129Fs, they've done so in the past and it will happen again. The hard part is not knowing when...

:ranting: :ranting: :ranting: :ranting:

More than likely, they are past that date. Just the phone people have not been given a new date to say & they're reading from a script.

i was just trying to provide some information on how they release processing dates and the frequency that the information is released. i am sorry if that upset you.

unfortunately, 6 months appears to be the current processing time frame for TSC. I had an early January NOA1 date - so i was hoping for an approval by the end of may or early june. i didn't get it until july.

it appears that you were misinformed about the timeline for this visa. it's an average of 5 months for the first step (USCIS). then you need to add time for NVC processing and scheduling/waiting for the interview at the consulate.

it is possible that TSC will speed up and march filers will be processed within 5 months. but there is no guarantee. best of luck!
