Take some responsibly ...get some money together and come for a visit to USA , it's a marriage put in your fifty percent .i myself believe the USA citizen should foot no money for your green card as the visa center views marriage and green cards as two separate issues . Which is why if you come and get divorced you still get to stay here in the USA

And be ready to clarify what you understood from your "talk" is exactly what he wants. Then decide if you can provide what he wants. If you can't provide, find yourself some solace and move away from each other.

Vegan? Is your husband Vegan too? If not, this relationship will not last. Men who eat meat, can't live on rabbit food. Sorry, vegan folks. It's true.

But, I understand the pain you are going thru. Hope both of you find peace. And the vegan coworker will find her own peace too.

There is no need to be rude. If you actually read any of my posts you would know that I did go visit him in the US and I am here right now. Thanks for your input.

EDIT: BTW if we do get divorced I will not be going forward with the green card. I will withdraw myself, thanks! And whatever you believe has no bearing on who pays for the petition becuase they ask for a US bank account....

I suppose you would fear the truth is being rude but I'm just being upfront with you if your man is out having dinner with another woman and she's cooking for him i'd be a little wary especially if I didn't know she was. I'm just saying most people view American citizens is going to the backyard and pulling cash off the trees. I'm glad to see you have some ethics and view your green card has connected to your marriage and therefore if you're not married anymore you no longer need the green card because there's very few people that view that immigrate on the marriage visa into the USA. It appears to be a free-for-all or anybody get married to USA citizen. I'm just saying if you're worried about your husband I would hop a plane and get over here on a tourist visa and see him and find out what's going on. Just saying girlfriend that's all

Just curious as to who has shared these views with you? Last time I checked, this site was to help people reunite with their loved ones, not to find a person who has a "money tree".

I have to admit, it cracks me up, the number of people who flail at the idea of men and women being friends, and doing things as simple as sharing a meal. (Yes, I know, in some cultures mingling of the genders isn't allowed, and I do give those a lot more space-but man, talk about culture shock when you get to the US.)

Good luck, CanGirl. Hope you two figure out what you need and what is right for you both, whatever that may turn out to be.

Nobody's opinion but the wife matters. You see this kind of pointless argument about whether a spouse meeting opposite-sex friends is trouble or not. Some relationships are so open that recreational sex with other people is permitted. Others would get into huge fights over platonic relationships.

We need to keep this on track. CanGirl is with him and the thing most necessary is for each partner to be 100% transparent with their feelings, hopes, and plans for the future. Is it going to be a case of "I'll stop talking to him so he gets the message I want the garbage taken out" or is it going to be "Take the garbage out honey"...

The thread has long derailed from the OP's actual story and people are being consumed into arguments and counter-arguments to prove who is right and who is wrong (on a topic that is completely unrelated to the OP's situation).

My suggestion is that we all take it down a notch, censor ourselves from engaging in further debates and arguments, and just wish the OP good luck in making up with her husband. Since all has been said and the OP has followed a course of action that most of us originally favored anyway, there is nothing else left to say in this thread, other than to hope that all goes well for this VJ couple.

Also, it's good to remember that each case is different. Yes, some marriages are sadly entered into with the purpose of fraud, so of course it can happen, but this still does not apply to the majority of cases, and OP's story definitely doesn't seem to be a case like that. The fact that something bad happened to us is of course sad, but it's worth remembering that this does not mean that it is happening or is going to happen to everyone else.

Just my two cents, as I have been watching you guys bickering since last night and it's looking like it's getting out of hand. I don't think the OP is getting any more help from this thread.
