When dealing with the immigration government office/system/workers,

I think the best thing we can do is when in doubt take the safer option.

I would say, any significant document should be translated to English by certified authority

to avoid any delay and confusion.

I don't know how long ago you have sent in your documents, but if you can,

get it translated quickly and email that in again with explanation that you forgot to

attach the translated doc the first time.

Yes, it's a problem. ALL documents MUST Be translated into English. ALL DOCUMENTS! They won't accept it.

And along with the translation the translator must write a statement showing why and how they are qualified to translate the document.

You sent something to USCIS? Not being in English? How did you expect them to read it?

Regardless, let's say they do have someone there, don't you think it would add additional time to your case for them to find someone to translate it? It's an expedite case, wouldn't you want it to go as quickly as possible?

Maybe they do have people there to translate, I'm sorry, I never had to go for an expedite, I'm sorry you have to.

In most cases, documents sent to USCIS and NVC have to be *in English*, or be accompanied by a (certified) translation into English.

At consulates and/or embassies, you often can send in or hand over document in the "local" language(s) as well, but not always.

So... you will most likely get an RFE for the "missing translation", _OR_ they will simply ignore it because it only concerns an expedite request, and, thus, it will not be honored.
