They have mailed my EAD but no tracking number? It only says that they mailed it directly to the address that they have on file. Will this update more later for tracking number? We did not get an email for the updates by the way, just kept on checking on the USCIS website. Thanks

They will send you a tracking number once USPS has picked up mail from USCIS.

Usually at the end of the day, you will be receiving the tracking number. If not, wait for at least 24 hours.

Hi you guys! My EAD AND AP were approved on Oct. 6. EAD moved to card production but AP didn't not. I have not received a tracking number so I am getting worried. Any advice on what to do? Should I call for the tracking number?

@ Nowry123456. You don't need to worry. It takes approx 7 to 8 days from approval for your card to be produced before it's being mailed. Once USPS picks up your card you'll receive another notification (email/text or whichever notification settings you suggested) and with it you'll see a tracking # on your case status at USCIS to track your package home. Based on your approval date, you should have your EAD/AP combo card mailed on Oct 13th and you should be getting it on the 15th.

I had a similar experience. EAD was approved and in card production while AP was still in post-activity. I did end up getting my combo card and I never got a tracking number. It showed up a few days later.

---- UPDATE:

I flew home (Canada) using my AP/EAD combo card. I didn't have much trouble but because i haven't gotten my GC, I had to go into secondary inspection where they put another card into my passport. It was a delay of 15 minutes. I also used my nexus thinking I could but I was told not to use it until I get the LPR status and update my nexus card. I was told until I get LPR, I would have to do this every time I travel back into the US.

Any idea if we should be inquiring about our interview? We haven't even gotten notice of interviews yet.

Thanks!

HI! Do you mind me asking how many days later you recieved the combo card? Sorry if we're being antsy. It took about 75 days for it to be approved, and now the wait for the card is a killer): We just want it so my husband can FINALLY apply for his drivers license. The DMV won't let us start even the permit process with a print out of the case status. They want the 797 or the actual card.

!

Travelling with AP is sort of a trap and USCIS knows it but still gladly gives people a nice opportunity to get trapped. (Just my opinion) :( I recommend to use AP only for some sort of emergency because of what might happen. :( but this is only my opinion..
