Visa APPROVED!!!!!! Everything went well. I was super nervous and my husband was not lol. They allowed me to be with him at all times, except when it was time for the interview I couldn't say anything

We are sooooooo fricken excited!!!! August 27th is my interview :))) sorry that we did not update straight away :/..dealing with work..families etc etc..but yayyyy only 29 days until interview!!! Finally with the man I love...coming up

6 years of togetherness, coming up 3 years married..and yet a lifetime of heartache ?..thank god for visa journey! ???????

I spoke with someone who's husband was waiting for his visa to be issued at the Bridgetown, Barbados embassy on Friday. He was told by the embassy that, because of the system problems, they were only able to print 3 visas per day. He was lucky enough to be one of those 3.

So, at least at the Barbados US Embassy, they are printing visas, but only 3 per day right now. Am not sure what is happening at other Embassies.

Thanks for sharing...only print 3 visas per day...ummmm....better than nothing right.. :wacko:

Just realized your interview is next week already. I hope England isn't an issue either for your sake because after waiting for so long, this is the last thing you need. It's frustrating and upsetting. I've already cried today. I just changed my ticket to fly back the following Monday because I can't wait any longer than that and once again I will have to leave my husband if this isn't resolved. I thought that finally we could fly back together without ever having to say goodbye again. And if he doesn't fly back before August 9th we are really in trouble because the pilots here are going to go on strike. Just great. Glad everything is working out. For once, can't there be something easy about this process?!

This process is full of frustrations :( so sorry you have to change the flight.

I was just talking with my husband, we still can't believe we had to go through a USCIS backlog, an NVC backlog and then a visa printing glitch. Seriously, what's the odds? Kinda unfair... But hold on, I am still hoping they can fix it today or tomorrow!!

I can't relax until I actually hug my husband!! :crying:

I think we will all remember our immigration experience for a long long time!

Is it just me, or do a lot of people have interviews being rescheduled by the embassy to a later date? It seems to appear that way after looking at most members' signatures. Is this because of the DOS system crash?

No one at the embassy said anything about problems printing VISAs. They just said check the CEAC website and once it says Issued get in contact with Aramex to have it delivered.. It was a holiday in the country today so I'm hoping tomorrow we might hear something. Does this sound logical or do I have any work with Aramex before all of this?

The weird thing is, when I used ustraveldocs.com to schedule the interview appointment, they made me specifiy a "Document Delivery" location. Not sure what that was about..?

Only one person here had theies moved to a later date and that was due to medical reasons.

I've not read of any immigrant visa appointments being moved to a later date. Interviews arent affected, just the processing of visas is delayed.

Alright, already posted this in NVC July thread... but I'm thinking that all you experienced folks B-) may have some insight...

For those of you that requested an expedite... did you receive an email confirming they had received your request? I fear that I may have actually included all of the information they need to process my request ( :rolleyes:), so they won't contact me for additional information.... but then I don't really know for sure if they actually received my email. Can phone operators see that you've sent a request to expedite? I really don't feel like calling them this week when I'm pretty sure it will be useless.....

I requested an expedite and they got back to me in like 3 days saying they are looking into it. the operators do see the expedite request in their system but they will just say "wait for the response" which will come via email. hope that helps
