hi guys,

my fiance has called the 1800 hotline for USCIS 3 times this month once every week to ask where would she file my form and each time she called she got 3 different answers from each phone call. at 1st they told her she had to file it in Oakland, CA, the 2nd time they said SF, CA and the 3rd time they told her Phoenix, AZ. She even asked why it keeps changing and the lady told her that that's the information that she's pulling up. So right now she's confused on where to file it. Please help.....Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Form I-130 is petition for a relative, are you married? If not, you cannot file this form.

Form I-29 is a Petition for a Non-Immigrant worker.

Can you fill in your timeline so we can help?

Thanks!

If she is petitioning you as a fiance, then it's I-129f. You posted in the K-1 forum, and you said she was your fiance, so I assume that she is petitioning you as her fiance.

There is no I-29 form. The I-130 is for if you are married, or other immediate relative.

There is a form called I129 and it is a petition for non-immigrant worker , I believe based on the OP's posts that their USC fiancé has been told to submit the wrong forms (based off the changing of filing locations they were told) especially because they're wanting to submit an I-130 before marriage!

Because you are not married you cannot file the I-130. You need to fill out the I-129f and send it to the Texas lock box (not t be confused with the TSC/Texas Service Center which is a different location).

Read the guides: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

Where to send the petition packet: http://www.uscis.gov/i-129f-addresses

Don't forget to submit all of your evidence (you can find this info in the guides). Good luck!

I know about the I-129. The OP was insisting on an I-29 form (not I-129 or I-129f). Anyhoo, it's all cleared up now I believe.

I had friend who exactly told me about I-29. I told her that is I-129F but she kept repeating same time. After someone came to clear up, she finally accepted it. I guess, she would rather believe in someone else than me, lol. After all, the OP already cleared up the confusion.

Being you are talking fiancee it is the I-129F form that you use.

The address for filing the I-129F is on the website itself, as stated in the I-129F instructions sheet. There are only two choices for address, which one depends on how you send in your petition.
