Hello to everyone!

I am looking for your advise/opinion.

My husband just filed papers for my Adjustment of status.

I was on J1 visa. Married my husband after visa was expired.

My husband didn't meet poverty guidelines for a while. Though we were married, I was out of status for 2 years... We couldn't find joint sponsor.

While we were married I started handcrafting and brought income to our family that allowed us to meet 2013 poverty guideline.

We filed i864 and we honestly mentioned my income as income of Intending immigrant. I love what I do and looking forward continue my handcrafting business after getting permanent residence...

But I am really afraid that my income will not count as I was self employed without any work authorization.

Though any money I make are going into our household income and we filed recent year Tax return jointly...

Please let me know what do you think - is there any chance our i 864 will be approved.

And what are my options at this point if we cannot find joint sponsor...

Thank you for your response in advance! I will be grateful with all my heart!

As Harpa said, your income will not be considered due to your lack of employment authorisation. If your husband's income alone is insufficient, you will either need to find someone willing to be a joint sponsor or the adjustment of status will be denied, with you likely being placed in removal proceedings shortly afterwards.

I hope we will find a way...

We have 2 little kids together. I will fight my way to keep our family together
