Applying for a tourist visa

She def wouldn't return as her aunt who lives here as well plans to find a guy for her to marry. If she gets approved she doesnt want to stay in California and wants to come here to New York.

Then tell her, people get deported if she does something out of what she has informed during the visa application and interview. ;) On a serious note, I would discourage the family to bring her because the aunt won't benefit anyways if she does plan to go from west to east coast. It will also be the start of a bad track record for their family if one is discovered to be overstaying here in US.

My friend's visitor visa was denied because her brother is a TNT and the consul did ask about this during her interview, even if my friend's purpose is for company training.

She is single and does not have a stable job or any properties. I told my husband this but he claims that the grandmother was able to bring a companion here. Not sure if she returned to the Philippines though.

Grandma would do better to have your husband fly there and travel back with her.... once he has his GC.

SO this is the true intention. Grandma and doctor playing accomplice. Stay out of it, IMO.

My daughter-in-law is a USC and her sister is an LPR. The 3rd sister is coming here on a K-1 with her K-2.

This sister is deaf. Their mama, who does NOT want to live here and leave her other grandchildren in Phils, wanted to accompany them to help out during the flight.

She does not have enough ties to Phils even though she does NOT want to live here, and we all have enough money to support her.

She is not able to get a visitors visa.

We pretty much knew it, so my DIL plans to petition her under family petition.

To OP (Jayann & Jay).

The consuls are well trained to see thru your cousin's shenanigans. USEM already learned the tactics of some Pinoys when it comes to tourist visa applications. An unemployed woman in her prime with no ties to home country is in for a denial.

Grandma can always avail of special accommodations provided by the airlines for senior citizens. ;)

And people from the PI want to know why it's so hard for their relatives to "visit" the US.

Fraud by people similarly situated.

Don't blame the US government for not giving out tourist visas when people like these are looking to abuse the visitor visa system.

Agreed! Sucks to have people like that. Jealousy can do stupid things.

Hello. My husband's second cousin is applying for a tourist visa. Here are some information: my husband's second cousin has a grandmother in California who is a green card holder and she is currently in the Philippines. When she comes back to the U.S my husband's second cousin's family asked her grandmother's doctor to write a note saying that she has to be accompanied by someone. The grandmother wants to come back to the U.S in July so my husband's second cousin is asking how to apply for a tourist visa as a companion. Any advice would help even though I shouldn't help because I feel like my husband's second cousin is just coming here to the U.S out of jealousy and she also has an aunt who lives here.

Sorry, it is highly unlikely to be granted.

Yup that is how it seems... and we are swimmin' in them here!

I told my husband that it will be hard for his second cousin to come here. He tells me that the grandmother is sick & his second cousin will act as a care giver. I am sure the US embassy still won't grant her a visa correct?

Embassy won't care about her being a "care giver" at all, it's a tourist visa not a work visa.... they for sure won't want to hear about caring for grandma. They want "guarantees" she will not overstay.

She will not be approved. Don't tell her that, just tell them good luck and stay out of their affairs. Let the consulate do their job.

I just gave her the link that Hank gave me. She didn't even want to pay the $160 visa fee. LOL
