Hi all,

I received a NOA2 for my wife yesterday. The case is being sent to NVC. My questions is from your experiences, which one is faster and efficient EP or snail mail for NVC stage? Your feedback and suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Pakistan isn't eligible for EP  Please read my wiki. I provide a link to eligible countries for this...

Anyone please help!!!!

Can I attach the IV package cover sheet barcoded to the I-864 for my stepson I hope there is no issues with that.

I'm not able to print a coversheet for AOS for my stepson as it's showing $88 to pay for the AOS fees, I was told to disregard this.

I'm already paid the $88 for AOS for my wife. Both are immigrating together same date.

Thanks,

Finally got the AOS package to the mail today, phew.

Joint sponsor couldn't get the 2012 tax transcript printed out for whatever reason, do you guys think that it makes a difference that the 2012 transcript is missing? We sent 2013,2011 and 2010 instead. We did write the total income of 2012 in I-864 with 2013 and 2011. We also had three recent pay stubs for joint sponsor showing that income continues.

IR1 took 520 days....

Only the most recent year is required. Although, NVC may issue a checklist since you sent in 2011 and 2010 (instead of 2012 and 2011). They may think you sent in the wrong years and request 2012 tax information. If your joint sponsor can't print it, then I suggest you have it mailed to him instead. If you don't get a checklist from NVC, it'd still be a great idea to bring 2012 tax information to the interview, in case they request it.

Thank you for your quick reply Saylin. Just one another question, I saw on Department of State under Country Reciprocity Table that "Police Clearance Certificate" is not required for consular processing. I was just not sure if its accurate. I wasn't sure if I will get a checklist at NVC stage for not sending Police Clearance Certificate from Pakistan.

Thanks for the quick reply! We noted the missing transcript in the cover letter with an explanation. I guess we better ask joint sponsor to get a hold of the 2012 one again somehow just in a case. They don't have an internet connection at home and their mail goes to p.o box someplace else since it's a(n extremely) rural area, so who knows where the ordered 2012 transcript went. Anyhows, will ask them to order one again.

Just checked, and it says "not available" for police records in Pakistan, so you should be fine not sending one.

Good for explaining it in the cover letter  Hopefully they read that now

If he doesn't have a good internet connection, he can go in person to a local IRS office and get it right then and there.

Is your wife by any chance a doctor? On 15th September actually the match applications go for residency that's why asked :) I would miss my one whole year in my career if I don't reach by 15 sept there which is close to impossible right now.

Have you taken step 1 and step 2? The same goes for my spouse.

Pakistan is not eligible for EP. Read the NVC wiki and familiarize yourself with the process so you are pre-prepared when it comes time to send documents etc.
