I called NVC - Case Complete!!!!!!!!!

Didnt get e mail yet.

hi guyz,

Today i have received an email from NVC stating that "we have finished your case and we will send you interview date, do not contact with local embassy," so it means our case is complete now ? and we should wait for the interview date ? they also stated that i should bring the tax return of co-sponsor in interview.. does everyone received the same email on case completion? it is compulsory to bring tax returns of cosponsor in interview ? i am confused please advice.

Hello! I got this checklist. It's fake but do you think it means that my AOS documents were approved, or only that my DS-260 was accepted? :huh2::huh:

I-751 August 2016 filer. 10-year Green card received on Aug 2017.

N-400 (Naturalization) July 2017 filer. Oath Ceremony: November 2nd 2017.

Details below.

 

NATURALIZATION (N-400):

Sent application to Lewisville, TX on 07/03/2017. Case received and check cashed on 07/11/2017. Biometrics: 08/03/2017. In Line for Interview: 09/05/2017. Interview scheduled: 09/18/17 (notice received 09/21/17). Interview date: 10/23/2017. Oath date: 11/02/2017. Passport received: 11/20/2017.

 

REMOVING OF CONDITIONS (I-751):

Vermont Service Center received package on Aug 18th 2016.

NOA 1 date: Aug 19th 2016 (received letter on Aug 24)

Biometrics date: Sept 23rd 2016

Approval Notice: Jul 24th 2017

Green Card Received: Aug 4th 2017

 

CR1 Visa / Green Card application (conditional residency):

USCIS:

-October 15, 2013- Sent I-130 (Priority Date: Oct 17 2013).

-October 25, 2013- NOA1 hard copy received (notice date: Oct 19, 2013). Processing at NBC.

-March 14, 2014- Transfer notice hard copy received (CSC).

-March 27, 2014- NOA2 hard copy received.

NVC:

-March 31, 2014- NVC received

-April 29, 2014- Case# and IIN assigned

-May 03, 2014- DS-261 submitted online.

-May 07, 2014- AOS bill invoiced and paid.

-May 12, 2014- Sent AOS package by DHL 

-May 12, 2014- IV bill invoiced and paid

-May 13, 2014- Sent IV package by DHL 

-May 14, 2014- DS-260 available and submitted.

-June 17, 2014- AOS documents accepted

-June 18, 2014- CASE COMPLETED! (No checklists!) 

-June 25, 2014- Interview scheduled!

 

US EMBASSY CARACAS:

-July 07, 2014- Medical appointment

-August 21, 2014- INTERVIEW -> Approved!

-August 29, 2014- Visa in Hand

-August 31, 2014- Port of Entry

DS260* has been approved :). They haven't reviewed your IV docs yet, hence the false checklist.

Has anyone submitted supporting docs for IV before paying the fees for IV? If that is possible, everyone that is waiting for IV fee to open up can send the docs, that way by the time your fees are ready to pay, your docs will be all scanned and in the queue to be reviewed. I sent AOS and IV docs together for my in-laws' using AOS cover sheet and had no problem. I am not sure how it works, but just a thought... Might be able to save few weeks, if it is possible.

From my understanding, and after speaking to an NVC representative, she said you can send them in. However if you are sending originals, they may get lost!

Also, she said they do not touch your IV documents until and unless you have paid the IV fees and the DS-260 has been submited. Someone please correct me if this is wrong..

NOA2: 4/13/2014

NVC Received Case: 4/28/2014

NVC Assigned Case no and IIN: 5/21/2014

DS261 available and submitted: 5/31/2014

AOS fees available and paid: 6/2/2014

AOS package sent out:6/3/2014

AOS has been approved :). They haven't reviewed your IV docs yet, hence the false checklist!

Not the AOS, but the DS-260. The checklist makes no mention of the AOS package.

Well called NVC twice today, first time I talked to Joy...well all I can say she was not rude or anything just did her job and answered all questions, told me AOS wasn't reviewed. Ok shocked first since got told it was accepted last Friday. Real talk first thought ok well is Joy so I called again later. That agent said the same thing, that AOS is not reviewed yet so I asked her why I got a different answer. Then she checked again and well AOS accepted. They just got different screens, one with a general review update, which wasn't updated and they got a different screen where they can look into the document and there was the update that it is fine. So I guess I did Joy wrong on my first thought, yes I know she could had gone into details but I really do understand with the loads of call they receiving currently where they get to a point to do their job as they suppose to do and that is what she did, could she had gone above and over yeah sure but she doesn't have too. So in my opinion nothing bad to say about Joy at all.

08/26/2013 -- Marriage

09/04/2013 -- I130 Sent to Lockbox

08/19/2014 -- Interview, Approved and Issued consulate: Frankfurt, Germany

09/25/2014 -- Green card received

08/02/2021 -- Submitted N-400
