I sent Aos package n IV doc at the same time, they were scanned on 12May, but i864 was input wrong info by laywer. We resubmited i864 on 22May, it was sanned on 29May. I sent email to NVC to ask my case on 17May n got reply today to say that:

A letter will be sent to the petitioner or attorney of record indicating

the Affidavit of Support requirement for this case is incomplete.

Please submit the requested Affidavit of Support form(s) and/or

financial evidence, as indicated on the checklist. The requested

information must be submitted to the NVC for this file to continue

processing.

It meant I got the checklist for AOS, IV doc is fine, right? I have not received checklist email.

My situation was almost the exact same (lawyers are as*h*les) .... when i called to check to see if they had my packet i asked and she said that all my other documentation (IV and DS260) was all ok and it was just the AOS ....

Innnntterrvviewww come onnnn. Pleaseeee, driving me nuts. I'll be writing on VJ soon from an insane asylum if I don't get it soon.

I am starting to believe that they haven't been scheduling due to the fact that July is going to be their vacations. Maybe??

I am starting to think that maybe they've got July and August booked already. Is anyone willing to call them to ask them how long they plan on taking? I wouldn't mind shooting them an email and asking them if they are still scheduling interviews for July or August since NVC hasn't scheduled yet and according to them it is due to unavailability.

Guys quick and silly qs. Is it ok if I put my hisband's cell phone number in place of his work number in ds261? I should prolly hit myself for asking this :P

Just use a soft object as you'll be doing a lot of this sort of thing before you're done here. Doubtful if you'll ever be contacted by phone. It's the email that you should choose wisely.

I would of cursed before hangup. I don't think they can do anything to the case except read it anyway

I'm sorry you got Arthur :-( (I would bet my house that's who that was).

There's absolutely no reason for this. This process is stressful enough without having to deal with these operators' attitude. It's not like we're calling them at home, it's their OCCUPATION to answer the phone!

Some people are born mean and rotten to the core. They thrive at the anxiety of others and rebel against their miserable existence by spreading their "blessings" far and wide, especially when they face little accountability.

And yes, I wouldn't put it beyond such creatures to pull a case file and hold it hostage at their desk for a while, or worse.

Yeah, I don't see any issue. I don't they will actually call in any case...it is taking forever for them to respond on e-mail. I will be surprised if they make any calls. For myself I gave both cell and work number.

After waiting exactly 30 days we received the IV invoice. Hubby paid it. Lawyer couriering IV package tomorrow.

If you have a lawyer, I thought you would get to pay the IV fee quickly since you don't need to fill out the DS-261 form? :huh2:

Looks like the computer glitch screwed me up big time. No one at NVC will admit that there's any proof that I filed it before may 21(despite the fact that I have a confirmation number). It looks like I'm waiting until June 20 or so before I get invoiced.

Computer glitch!? :wow: That really sucks! :ranting: I hope you get to pay the IV fee sooner than June 20. :clock:

Well, after 45 minutes on hold, I ended up hanging up with the NVC agent because he was such a jerk. First of all, he wouldn't hold on for more than 1 minute because my baby was crying and I wanted to grab her before reading him the USCIS case number.

He talked to me like I was an idiot then asked me the date I received the NOA2. When I said, May 27th, he told me that I need to read him word for word all of the information on the NOA2 (aka he wanted me to get to the part where it says, "wait 30 days before contacting NVC"). I ended up just hanging up. Grrrr :ranting:

write a nasty review and send it to

NVCINQUIRY@state.gov in the subject line put ATTN: PI Supervisor

Arthur yelled at me once. And Joy was extra snippy with me once . These people need to find new jobs if answering the phone is not what they want to be doing.
