For some strange reason the hotel I'm staying at in Bangkok does not have BBC or CNN. However, they have this RT channel. I thought Fox News was biased. These folks would make some of the Israeli propagandists and Kim Jong-Un proud. The crazy thing is that all the commentators seem to be American. It's a 24/7 b!tch session about how Russia is in the right and Ukraine is in the wrong, and how the western media is a bunch of liars. One guy just said that the whole Ukraine thing is a U.S. organized distraction so that they can bomb Iran without catching hell.

It's just like a Fox news circle jerk where they all get together and take turns beating up on Obama.

Journalism is dead. Biased talking heads are the norm now.

Just like our main news services, RT is guided by the Gov't.

The main difference is, they admit it and admit their roll is to present "the other side" and who could deny that vacuum was just waiting to be filled?

I have only ever seen their clips on Ytube.

Come again? Our government "guides" our main news services? Which ones, specifically, does our government guide and just how does that happen? Would have to be FOX News certainly since I keep hearing how FOX News dominates the US News market. So Obama is "guiding" FOX News? Is that what you're saying?

And for the record, RT is not "guided" by The Kremlin. RT is the Kremlin's propaganda organ.

Wait, are you still questioning the influence the Gov't has over reporting?

I don't limit this to Obama (though they have been more aggressive).

How is the government influencing or - as you previously put it - guiding the news in this country? All news? Some news? If some, which specifically? Try and be specific. Or is that asked too much?

Specifics don't work with you, last week I posted a Video of one of your very popular leftiest bud who straight out admitted how they are pressured to report "certain stories" certain ways.

The WH routinely contacts organs of the news on how to address stories, it has even been a conversation in the WH press room.

Where have you been at?

It is to much for him. What he is trying to say is that Russia/USA news is the same. It is not. The Russian government shuts down news channels that provide news that the government does not want people to know.

Okay, so once again, Danno comes up empty. No, I did not expect any different. If nothing else, you're consistent not delivering.

I know. Danno is under the Soviet hammer. I know that ain't easy. I've grown up under it but eventually managed to escape.

Looks like Danno has resigned himself to tooting Putin's horn.

The Democrats have MSNBC.

Every major news organisation in the US has forgotten what news used to be about.

Sane people watch the BBC, or any other organisation where news and opinion are recognised as separate.

I agree that News is hard to come by in this country - certainly on TV. There, it is all entertainment and sensationalism and talking heads. Anything but real, actual news. But that is no evidence that the news in this country are guided by the government in much the same way in which the Kremlin spreads its propaganda via "News" channels as Danno would have you believe. That simply is an insane statement to make.

MSNBC does not need to be guided by this government. It is perfectly willing to fulfill the same role on a purely voluntary basis. ;)

As would Fox, for the other side.
