Brining Mother-in-Law over and Conditional Status Question

My wife is a permanent resident and getting her US Naturalization. Once that is complete we want to bring her mom over from Brazil because she needs care and there is no one there to care for her. She has a pension and income from the rental of property, but my question is when she comes over she needs health care (Obamacare) and she will need to be a permanent resident to get it. If my wife is a US Citizen and brings her over, will she have a conditional status and if so how long or will she be permanent right away? She cannot get healthcare coverage with a conditional status.

(May - July was spent trying to gather and REPLACE original police clearance letters from Germany, Italy, & Brazil. Birth Certificates, Marriage Certificate, and all the translations after the US POST Office and/or US Customs Border Protection at JFK Airport LOST the package! ARRGH!)

August 27, 2008 - Case Completed at NVC

DAY 439! - October 8, 2008 - Interview in Rio - Visa Approved!

Conditional green card is 2 years for married couples, not sure about parents.2 years. Is it a condition of Obamacare that they must not have a conditional green card? My husband has private healthcare through work and there was no stipulation for that...

Yes, it is a condition for Obamacare - only permanent residents without conditions. I have healthcare at work, but it does not cover parents.

Your Mother-in-law will get permanent green card once she arrived. Conditional green card is only for couples who have been married for less than 2 years.

February 28- AOS package sent. ( I-130, I-485, I-765)
March 5- Package delivered to USCIS Chicago.
March 11- Email and text notification with Receipt Numbers.
March 14- Hardcopy of NOA1 for all three applications.
March 21- Received biometrics appointment letter for 04/04/2014
April 2 - Completed Walk in Biometrics appointment successfully. (Original Appointment was for 4th April)
April 9- I-485 Case status has been updated to " Testing & Interview "
April 16- Text and email alert for case update for AOS interview on 22nd May 2014.
April 18- Hardcopy of Interview notice received in mail.
May 22- AOS interview, approved on the spot and got stamp in my passport.
May 27 - Approval notice of I-130 and I-485 in mail.
May 29- Received GC in mail.

ROC Timeline:

03/28/2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

03/29/2016: Package delivered.

03/31/2016: cheque cached.

04/02/2016: Received NOA1 in mail, dated 03/29/2016.

04/13/2016: Received Biometrics notice for the date of 04/25/2016.

04/21/2016: Early walk in Biometrics

09/28/2016: Text and email alert about approval of ROC

10/06/2016: Received 10-years green card in mail

and there is no exclusion of those with conditional status.

You might want to check the cost.....

a person with a 2 year green card is a permanent resident. It is only that their status can actually expire at the end of 2 years if not renewed. It is like a youth drivers lenience They are still licensed drivers they just have conditions on their licence,.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
