We have the exact dates EXCEPT the April 1.

We sent out our response to the checklist (AOS) March 26, NVC acknowledged receipt on March 28 too. My wife didn't call NVC after that we decided to wait out more than 12 days (too frustrated to call lol)

Call, who knows since we both got the same dates. I'm sure yours is just around the corner too. Good luck!

My case was approved on March 26 at the local office and they still have it there.

I called uscis and spoke to OF and he said that he can see that there is some transit ,but they haven't sent it yet :( I requested to have an inquiry done.

Question for everyone

My i130 was approved march 26 and my i129f was approved April 9th, do you think that's why it has not been sent to NVC? Officer told me they send them together.

The only thing I can tell you is that Nebraska isn't the fastest when forwarding cases to NVC. Ours was approved from Nebraska Dec. 12, 2013 and received at NVC, Jan. 6, 2014.

But there's some good news for you if your I-129 got through, you'll be so lucky if they decided to send it to your local consulate/embassy. If that happens, everything will go so fast for you. Good luck!

So today I got a false checklist requesting that I bring my Civil document. Well I mailed it on Tuesday and according to USPS it was delivered on Wednesday.

Below is the content of the checklist.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR: Gboree
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
______CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS:_________________________________
When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this
letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar
code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the
address provided.
PLEASE NOTE: No interview will be scheduled until ALL of the information requested has been
returned to the National Visa Center.
______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________
The National Visa Center received your DS-260 form. We are waiting for the traveling applicant’s
supporting civil documents to be submitted to the NVC. Your online Immigrant Visa Application will be
reviewed upon receipt of your supporting documentation.
To view which documents the applicant must submit to the NVC, please go to our website
immigrantvisas.state.gov.

 at least my AOS was reviewed without a real checklist. Go NVC!!! We are humming alongside you.

If I may ask what was the problem, I want to avoid any since I've been waiting since March of last year and am waiting for my Case number and the invoice number. Thank you. :)

But I think it's interesting how some people will be lurking around the forums as guests, not contribute till they have a problem then register and then ask their questions lol..... just an observation

Hahaaa I did that for a while because I had nothing to contribute. I think its ok, we are all different and it is a place to gather information so I'm guessing that is what they are doing. We all have each other so it's all good. :)(F)

Based on my personal experience...I received a checklist one week after I submitted my DS-260 without my IV documents (I was waiting for my PCC).

The checklist stated "The National Visa Center received your DS-260 form. We are waiting for the traveling applicant’s supporting civil documents to be submitted to the NVC. Your online Immigrant Visa Application will be reviewed upon receipt of your supporting documentation".

I am not sure if this was a real checklist or auto-generated one because in my case it was applicable either way. :crying:

I hope this helps.

What is IV documents? So you didn't have to send anything? It's all so confusing.

Both i130 and i129f were transferred to Nebraska and then to the Detroit local office and that's were they got approved but they were approved two weeks apart. I130 march 26th and 129f April 9th.

So do they send i129f to NVC or consulate/embassy. I was told that both petitions get send to NVC and get merged as one case, at least that's what Guss from NVC told me over the phone.

After NVC completes a case, they schedule an interview date. How much in advance do they set the date?

I asume that the applicant needs to do a medical prior to the interview. Anything else needs to be done?

Thanks.

Depends on the consulate. People from Egypt have been waiting since Sept for their interviews. Check in the interview thread for your consulate or embassy.

Congratulations, hope it's not longer than a month for us. Called USCIS they where of NO help what so ever. Refused to tell me if they had

sent it out, but when I insisted he said we send it out up to three days after you receive notice of acceptance. What a total joke! :protest::wacko:

 <---------- idiot after talking to me!

Did you speak to a CSR or ISO?

I got BMBxxxxx case no which is for mumbai consulate.

Up to you if you want to change it. I assume the panel physicians approved would be the same for the entire country because they're engaged by the DOS not the consulate.

If I may ask what was the problem, I want to avoid any since I've been waiting since March of last year and am waiting for my Case number and the invoice number. Thank you. :)

Because the I-129F was approved afterwards, it all depends on when the NVC recieves them.

According to their website and past history they should close the I-129F and you should be chasing the CR1/IR1. However, recently I've seen quite a few make it through to the embassy. Which either results in a K3 interview (if the beneficiary chooses that route) or starts out as a K3 and the embassy ends up making it into a CR1/IR1 because of the approved I-130.

K3 may save you a month or two at the NVC BUT you pay twice as much in immigration fees and do not arrive in the USA with a green card (you must adjust your status.) That also means lengthening the time you can become a citizen if that means anything to you.

Both will get case numbers from NVC, the only difference is if your I-129 goes to your local consulate/embassy, you don't have to go through waiting for the payments and submission of civil documents. And yes, the k-3 seem rare but still does happen. Your I-130 and I-129 gets merged, correct too. BUT the odds of your I-129 flash straight to your local consulate/embassy can still be possible. If yours will get merged, then the I-130 precedes. At NVC stage for our case, for the whole process took 4 months. NVC received our case Jan. 6, 2014. We also got checklist from our AOS so I think that kind of delayed us for 3 weeks. Same case as yours will be lovemytico. Good luck!

Basically what happens is, if you send the AOS packet and it's processed before the IV packet arrives, you will get an auto checklist. My checklist was automatically generated by the system.

I look forward to the NVC acknowledging receipt of my IV packet.

I listened to you and decided to call at 9pm :)

Oops I screwed up my signature by trying to edit it on mobile lol

If I may ask, so you take a picture of your and husbands/wife's signature and use it for electronic purposes? I heard it's better to send it snail mail that it's quicker right now is this true? Thank you. :)
