Hello, another question. About signatures from my fiancé. I noticed on the Fiancé letter of intent, they ask for the signature of my fiancé in Vietnam. How do people get these in a timely manor. I was going to have her e-mail the passport photo and i would print that here in the US. But do I have to wait for her to send the signed letter of intent by mail? What other forms does she have to physically sign? Thank you so much for your help.

- Items 5 & 9

Original signatures from foreign fiance are needed for the Letter of intent to marry and G-325A. These have to be mailed. To make it timely, your fiancee can use services of Fedex, UPS or DHL, whichever works best in Vietnam. :)

Sounds like just the 2 documents filled out signed and mailed.

Letter of intent to marry and G-325A

I am learning some valuable lessons in patience. Breathe and wait.

Thank you all so much.

Sorry to be redundant but this is all she will need to mail me to complete and mail off the I-129f.

If you are a person with no patience, this whole process will either teach you patience or break your relationship. Wait until you're waiting on NOA2. That's the longest part of K-1 process.

Thanks for the advice on being patient. It is true, this process upped my anxiety. But I think this is a normal progression of anticipation, wonder, and anxiety.

My fiance thinks that a signed letter of intent and a signed G-345a can be signed then scanned and e-mailed to me. I have heard only the original ink signed document must be physically mailed from Vietnam to US so i can include in the packet?

you can have them sign the documents, scan them, and then email to you and you can print. I'd use an inkjet.

OK, so this would change everything and make it so easy. So what do others think about this?

Can I indeed have my fiance in Vietnam fill out the forms, print them, sign them in ink, and then e-mail them to me. I would then print and include in packet. I-29F

There is a big chance of getting an RFE if the G-325A and Letter of Intent to Marry are not originally signed by the beneficiary.

Your fiancee is wrong. Technically the foreigner living abroad does not have to sign the G325a but since the fiancee DOES need to sign the letter of intent and provide a passport photo, they might as well sign the G325a and send them all together in the same package.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
