Hi march filers!! I had my interview this past wed and I was approved :goofy::goofy: :goofy: :goofy: , my visa is ready to pick up and God willing ill be with my hubby in our house next weekend!! Good luck everyoneeee :dancing:

Congrats!! So happy for you!!

Our interview is the 5th. My hubby is in Moscow now and just completed his medical. I'm on pins and needles now just waiting. Unfortunately I'm unable to attend with him which is killing me lol.

Okay, this is a very random question. Is there anyone who has got through NVC WITH a lawyer and WITHOUT a checklist?


Is this true that NVC gives checklists to those who have lawyers?



Yes, lawyers are of no use, i know, but this thing has made me curious.

Yes, lawyers are of no use, i know, but this thing has made me curious.

We went thru USCIS without a lawyer but we hired lawyer thru NVC and we did not get a checklist. To be honest, we could have done it without a lawyer but it was a piece of mind for us and no regrets with the outcome.

Here's a question from a frustrated NVC-bound lonely person who misses his family: has anyone else had trouble even getting in line to talk to someone on the phone at the NVC? Before I used to have to call a few times just to get past the busy signal, but once I got through after 30-40 minutes I'd get a person.

Now it goes straight to a recording telling me that they're too busy to even put me on hold. Then it delivers the message in Spanish and hangs up. I've tried about 100-150 times--I'm 65 days past a 60-day letter for the most ticky-tack checklist imaginable--and I can't even get an update.

Has anyone else been getting this, or is the NVC routing only my phone number to this message??;)

I-130 mailed: 03/10/14 (from France to Chicago Lockbox)

I-130 received: 03/12/14 (this is also our priority date)

NOA1 email: 03/16/14 (email sent at 11:40 pm on Sunday!?!)

NOA1 letter: 03/30/14

I-797C: 03/21/14

NOA2 email: 08/09/14 (email sent at 5:45 am on Saturday!?!)

NOA2 letter: 08/13/14

Sent to NVC: 08/19/14 (email notification)

Green card: Accompanying docs stamped 6/16, but the card did not arrive until 7/2 (approx. 11 weeks after POE).
Now it's really over. Thank you so much to all of you at VJ who helped us through this ordeal.

Sorry you are having so much trouble. I never got those types of reroutes. I would hit redial many times and then put on hold 20 minutes before someone would answer. Be patient and keep calling.

Finally got through, just after posting that...45 minutes of hold time, but that's better than not even getting the privilege of waiting.:)

...the woman, who was nice and cheery, wouldn't tell me what the status of my case was but did insist that I would receive an email in the next couple of days. When I asked her if that meant that it would be done soon, she said "could be."

Wish I knew what that meant: was she looking at a case complete or another checklist on her screen when she said that??

This process is just...so...inhuman.

But y'all already knew that.;)
