Hi everybody - we have filed the I129F on 10-29-2013 and received NOA1 on 10-31-2013. When I look at other people's timelines (especially the K1 approvals for Jan and Feb) there were so many people that got their NOA2 within 2 months. Our application is at the Texas Service Center and I am from Germany and already have a Soc Sec number since I have lived and worked in the US in the past.

Does anybody else have the same problem. If your application is in Texas, how long did it take between NOA1 and NOA2 for you? Any answers would be greatly appreciated! THANK YOU ALL and GOOD LUCK! rolleyes.gif

wow.. that is really unfortunate.. it definitely isn't unheard of to take that long.. But it still sucks when it does.. the USCIS has listed a time frame of 5 months... once it's been 5 months.. you can call and inquire about the hold up...

One question though.. how did you receive the NOA the very next day? that seems incredibly fast since they need time to receive the application and then send out the NOA1?

Feb 2013- Met Online- started chatting.secret7vf.gif

~Duplicate threads removed~

~Please refrain from multiple posting of same topic~

I moved your initial topic asking about TSC processing times to the USCIS Service Centers as that there have been numerous recent threads about that topic at that forum. It seemed like a "better fit" than the general K-1 Fiancee Process and Procedures Forum, and would likely get more specific responses to your inquiry about the TSC at the Service Centers forum. Rather than multiple re-post of your initial topic, a report to the mods would have been more appropriate.

Good luck on your visa journey.

I just don't understand why you sometimes read "now dates so and so are processed..." - I have read that even people that got their NOA1 in January and February (from Texas Service Center) have received their NOA2. Aren't they doing it in the order applications come in? I don't understand...

Petitions are NOT adjudicated in the order they're received, for a multitude of reasons. To us it makes no sense, it would be better if they were done on a first come, first serve basis. But it's not.

The K1 journey:                                                                                                                             The AOS journey:

11/09/2013 - I-129F Packet mailed to Dallas Lockbox                                                                                         06/22/2015 - AOS packet mailed to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

06/19/2015 - Wedding (L)

The ROC journey:

10/12/2017 - ROC packet mailed to VSC

01/21/2019 - ROC Approved - there was no interview

The N-400 journey:

02/16/2020 - N-400 application filed online

02/21/2020 - Paper NOA received in the mail

03/13/2020 - Biometrics

02/02/2021 - Interview & test - Approved

02/05/2021 - Oath Ceremony
