I called, i am not allowed to send e-request because of my pd date. Uscis is currently on 3/16... They have not reached 3/31 yet

Send an eRequest once you hit the six month mark. That is when it should go through. Mine was six months and ten days. Maybe you will be approved before this time, but likely not. Nebraska has been approving at the six month mark on average.

NSC filer here, PD 03/24/2014, I received RFE that stated that I need to submit copy of original marriage certificate & along with English translation. However, my marriage certificate is in English already. So I'm sending RFE reply today. Made copy of my marriage certificate & got it notarized, wrote a letter explaining that original certificate is in English itself. Lets see what happens.

Do you guys think that should be enough??

P.S- went & spoke to lawyer, he said that I shouldn't submit original. He helped me get it notarized and wrote a letter. Will it be enough?

You got married in India and the original certificate is in English? (Just curious about this because I have no idea how things are in India.) Are all Indian marriage certificates in English? Maybe that is what caused the confusion? They might think it's not a copy of the original. I don't think you should submit any originals to USCIS either, a copy is fine.

Yes, I got married in India. No, not all Indian Marriage Certificate is in English. The last few years, most of the MC are drafted in English especially if you get it from cities like how I got it done in New Delhi (capital city of India). I got it done in English for the purpose of Immigration. I sent in my response today with no originals. I just submitted copy again this time I got it notarized stating its a true copy. Thanks for your input.. :) highly appreciated!!!

I wish our attorney could have known that ?

Well the bright side is that you will get your approval soon! I hope my case gets touched soon

I wish you good luck too. I m trying to stay positive. Hope to get approval soon :(
