After just complaining here on the board today I just got a text and checked the USCIS website and the petition has been approved. I am seriously so happy right now. I really honestly do wish the best for all you guys who are still waiting.

But whats the next step after this. I'm guessing its going to take sometime for CSC to forward this to the NVC. Should I be preparing the i134 form now? I am assuming I will be sending them tax records from 2012 as I have not filed my 2013 yet. If i meet the income requirement (with w2 tax proof ofcourse) do i still need a letter from my employer?

Thank you Visa Journey members this is an amazing website.

Best of luck to all of you, hopefully we can all be with our loved ones soon.

Hi!

we got our NOA2 January 27th (also at the CSC) and the NVC received it February 7th (less than two weeks after) and it left NVC on its way to the Madrid Embassy, in my case, the 11th. So it was only at the NVC for 5 days. However, this is just an example, every case is different! I wish you luck and a quick process!

As for documents, my fiance started gathering documents last week just to be on the safe side. Maybe it was too soon but it's going to take a while for the documents to get to Spain too. He'll be sending me these this weekend:

- Form I134 completed and signed

- Letter from his employer (I think you do need it because it proves that you're still working there and still receiving the same salary)

- Bank statement with the amount he has saved

- Proof of insurance

- Not sure about the taxes but send whatever you have.

I think that if the letter from your employer shows that you are currently employed and have enough income to support your fiancee then it's fine. In my opinion that's all they really want to know! My fiance is gathering more proof just in case. Better have too much proof than not enough... That's our motto! :-P

Btw, don't forget a copy of the NOA2 (hard copy) and the "letter of intent"! You must've sent another one with your first package but they need a similar one dated closer to the interview, the guides say.

My NOA2 was sent yesterday too!!! Finally the i-129f is approved and it is on the way to the NVC. Congrats to you too! What a long and crazy process. Had I known it would have taken this long (about 6 months to this point) we would have filed way earlier. We were engaged and living together for 5 months before we even filed the paperwork lol.
