Our k1 case has now been stuck at the NVC going on 3 weeks and we are starting to think this is not normal and something is wrong. If I call the NVC on Monday can I ask to speak to a supervisor? Is 3 weeks Normal wait time for AP?

If you are in AP at NVC it takes as long as it takes usually they are done within 8 weeks. You can call all you want a supervisor can't help you they will just sy you are in AP call back in 30 days.

But yes its normal for AP.

You're on the last stages and yes it's hard, but it's almost done. Think about the fact that you're going to marry someone who very much worth all this effort. :) It helps to try and find the positive side in what is a very stressful process.

Yes, every day I get a different answer when I call. It is very frustrating. I mostly get the response that we are in AP and there is no time frame, it can take as much time as they want.

Yea that's same as what I get told. Gave up on calling now. I thought the USCIS was bad but at least they told my congressperson what was going on and what they was waiting for etc and that took 8 months and got a bad feeling the NVC are going to be worse. What annoys me the most is all the background checks etc where done by the USCIS so they have absolutely no need to keep hold of a k1 case longer than a few days.

That's just rubbish - just put the petition in the post!

I had my medical on the 23rd which was fine. I've also sent in my packet 3 stuff and done the readiness form. I've also used the 'contact us' web-page and asked for an interview date after 10th April 2014 as I'm in the US as a visitor for two weeks at the end of March. Our case has been 'updated' numerous times but you cant ring the DOS for your interview date any more, so I've no idea what interview date has been assigned, if any.

I hope your petition gets to London this week :-)
