Ok here goes nothing, my boyfriend went to the embassy where he lives to see if he could a vistors visa to come over here so he could see me but I was told today that they told him he would have no chance in getting one to come over here. How can we meet if one he cant come over and 2 I cant leave the us or risk losing my rights to my children. Can some please help me, I know one of the requirements is to have met in the last 2 years but hows that supposed to work if we cant meet with each other or each other.

You should be able to take a vacation without jeopardizing your parental rights. I'm curious why you think you would "risk losing my rights to my children" if you visited your boyfriend.

You need to meet within two years if you want to file for a K1 Visa...it's, for all intents and purposes, not negotiable.

What country does your boyfriend live in?

If he cannot come here, you will have to meet him. You do not necessarily have to meet him in his country, you can meet him somewhere else in the world where it is convenient for both of you. My fiance is from the Philippines, and we tried getting her a tourist visa to the USA. When that did not work, we decided to take a 3 week vacation in Singapore, as she did not need a visa to go there, just her Filipino passport. I could have also met her in the Philippines but we both wanted to visit a country we both had never been for the thrill of visiting a foreign country. :)

But you need to clarify, how would visiting your fiance in another country jeopardize your rights to your children? Are you not allowed to leave the country for some legal reason?

First he is from morocco 2.) Its not that I cant leave the country it just that I have parents who shall we say are very manipulating they have custody of my older 2 kids and If I were to leave the state let alone the country and they find out I was gone they would say I abandoned my children. I still have my parental rights and see my children every other weekend. The custody is temporary til i feel I am able and can get my oldest 2 children back. I just want to make sure I do everything legit and even told him that we are taking everything one step at a time. He has no idea Im even trying to see him over here yet. He was told by his father that a friends daughter had gotten a tourist visa just he other day. And i told him it couldnt hurt to ask I mean dont always rely on what you hear from other people sometimes you never unless you do try it on your own.

Unless you meet him you cannot petition for him, plain and simple. Not to mention that Casablanca is one of the most difficult consulates to go through because of the high incidence of fraud. You will need to spend a good amount of time face to face with him before even k1 visa is approved through Morocco. Go to the Morocco portal and MENA forum and get to know some others who have gone before you, they will have advice for you.

I am sure the person his father was referring to has very strong ties to Morocco which is why she received a visitor visa. Your boyfriend can always try, but don't be surprised if he isn't successful.

Thats understandable its uphill battle im going through right now with getting my kids back I am ready to get its just I also have a 4 year old that I have custody of that is disabled. I understand why my parents went for custody of my oldest 2 they just went about it wrong. My youngest one has appointments every day just to cope with his disability. Thats one of the reason why I said I couldn't get them back yet. One top of that I am just now getting to where I feel comfortable with everything that has happened. Don't get me wrong I am still fighting to get my kids I have not given up on that. My saying i wasnt ready means financially Its obvious that I am a single mother. I mean so far everything does seem to be going ok. He hasn't not asked me for any money or anything like that, His family is knows he is talking to me so thats a plus. I have met his mom and sister aunt and uncles through skype. Just and believe if I though for a second he was scaming and started asking for money from me instead I would cut it quick. I even told him every thing would and should be done by the books and he agreed. So i guess thats a good thing.

Not sure who told him this...it was not likely a CO, since they are not supposed to 'pre-adjudicate' visa cases...perhaps it was a Moroccan employee of the embassy....in any event, the only he will find out is if he applies...from the info supplied, I'd say his chances are around 1%....a young, single make going to visit his American online GF is a story embassies have seen all too often...and the percentage of people who get a tourist visa and return could be enumerated on one hand....but the entry fee is around $160 plus some photos and maybe a small fee to make the appointment.....comments about being a future victim of some kind of scam are accurate....online relationships end poorly in a significant number of cases....and no one can be sure that your 'special someone' from a developing country isn't trying to use this electronic relationship to gain access to the US....

By chance, has he told you what his 'profession' is? And if so, maybe during your next electronic or telephonic exchange, pose a few questions towards him and see whether you get detailed, enthusiastic answers or vague generic answers....doing this in advance could save you a lot of grief (and money).

Yes he has he works for Yanzti a factory that makes the electronic cables for the cars that we drive. I have looked them up believe that he hasn't lied about that. So far he has told the truth about everything.
