I am currently on the K-1 Journey but my friend decided to travel to the Philippines to get married.

While he was there he found out that his new wife's child is actually a US citizen (US passport/Birth Certificate). Is there a process to get her to the US faster then the normal K-3 journey. I know that a lot of people that work in the US have a baby on US soil and recieve a permanent green card based on their child being a US citizen.

Nobody gets a green card based on their child being a US citizen, until the child is at least 21 years old.

Your friend just needs to follow the usual CR-1/IR-1 visa path. It won't be faster just because she has a US citizen baby.

How did they get a green card because they have a USC child? How old is the child? How long was the process for them when the child was eligible to file for their parents? A USC child gives no one the right to a green card. 'Anchor babies' are a myth.

They need to file for a CR-1 for the foreign spouse. http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1

~ Moved from AOS from Family Based to IR-1/CR-1 Process - topic is about obtaining a spousal visa ~
