I noticed somebody asked a week or so ago if there was a list of all RFEs so people could look out for possible "boo-boos." So here we go!

My RFE reason was;

The forms we downloaded didn't tell us to add evidence of meeting in the past two years or frontal face photographs. Which is weird because we got them directly off the London Embassy site. So we got an RFE for basically the other half of what you're suppost to send origionally. We started the K-1 appliciation before we found this forum so we were kinda just going with the instructions as best as we could. We say if you're just starting the I-129F download it from VJ...they seem to have the right instructions....

Last year, when I applied for i-129f for my then-Fiance (now Husband!), I didn't include a statement that I intend to marry him. That delayed the process for 5 months! Yikes. Don't make the same mistake as I did... put it in .. even just one paragraph of 3 sentences!

Just got the RFE. They requesting "properly completed and signed form G-325A" for me and my fianceé. I originally submitted G-325C.

Now i have a question:

What alien number should i put on the form? I am an immigrant myself, so i have an alien number assigned to me years ago, but on our NOA, the alien number is completely different. Is that my fiancees alien number, or we now have the same, but different from my old alien number, or do i still have my old number and she has a new one? I am very confused with that.

And also - Do i need to submit our passport-size photos again. There no such request in the RFE, but still do i need to?

Hi,

I am a Filipina currently working in Cayman Islands. I already have an approved I29f. My fiancé would like to apply k2 visa for my 8 year old daughter, but she is currently in the Philippines. Our plan is to apply her k2 visa at the same time with my k1 visa. If the visa will be approved, I want to go home first in Philippines to pick her up and enter in the states at the same time. What will be the process if we want to apply for k2 visa considering my daughter live in Philippines? Is she going to have a separate interview in the Philippines? Is she going to have a medical in St. Lukes? If yes, which consulate, they will forward the medical result considering I will be interviewed in Jamaica, which is the nearest US Embassy in Cayman Islands.

Thank you and God Bless

Can anyone with experience help me with this...received an RFE. I need to provide a letter of intent to marry. Can I just write a letter or do we both have to write one? If I am the only one that writes one does he have to sign it? I am pretty much trying to see if both of our signatures have to be on it?

Thanks in advance!

Received an RFE email today. Can't know for sure what it is - we had good primary evidence such as boarding pass date stamped by airport security, passport entry and exit stamps and photos printed from film that were date stamped from the film lab along with dates the pics were taken and locations. I had all her documents professionally translated such as birth certificate, marriage and divorce decree along with a name change document.

The only thing I can think of is that I included an ATM receipt and a hotel receipt that were in her native language but I didn't have translated. I had thought that the other evidence would be sufficient and that the receipts were mainly for the consulate to see. Hope it something easy like that! So it could be that EVERYTHING that isn't in English must have a certified translation! Kind of excited that they actually began reviewing our file at less than 3 months since our NOA1 date!

Hi there,

We too are dealing with the RFE (Intend to marry). Have you included with your original package two letters of intent to marry each other (one written by you that you are intending to marry your fiancee within 90 days of her arrival to the US, and on is written by her to marry you within 90 days of her arrival to the US) ? Both letters must be written in English and signed (original signature !!!). Just a though. Hope it helps !

Good luck guys

Attention to details....

Now my lack of attention caused an RFE.

It says in the Guide - G-325A. I thought that G-325C is more current version and submitted C. Now i have to re-submit G-325A as evidence, because they do differ a little bit and serve different purposes. ;(

Our RFE had to do with evidence that needed to be translated that I had sent with the original filing. She has Russian citizenship but we met in Ukraine, so they needed primary evidence that she was in Ukraine with me (I sent it the first time but it should have been translated). Still waiting on NOA2.

When sending in my 129F. I had to submit evidence for a previous divorce (10 years ago). I went to the courthouse and obtained a CERTIFIED COURT COPY of the divorce decree and sent that in with my package. HOWEVER, I still got a request for evidence because the CERTIFIED COPY did not state on it that it was the FINAL DIVORCE DECREE. I got a RFE asking me to provide evidence that the marriage had been terminated. I had to return to the courthouse and ask them to produce a CERTIFIED CERTIFICATE OF NO APPEALS which stated on it the the included divorce decree was therefore final.

Make sure that if you have to provide a divorce decree that it says that it is a FINAL DIVORCE DECREE, and if not then included a CERTIFICATE OF NO APPEALS which states that the divorce decree is final.

My case was approved by USCIS five days after they received this evidence.
