are you talking about after the interview? if so...i think it's very country specific. my fiance was told on the spot that he was approved. after 2 days the status went to AP but only for like 10 minutes then the status changed to ISSUED. some people are in AP for minutes, some for days, weeks etc. it all depends on why they are reviewing it. I'm sure the constant update dates are a sign that something is being done with it but there's no way of really knowing if that's a good or bad thing until the status changes again. you should post this question in your country specific forum to hear other people's experience from your country. best of luck with everything.

I have a question I have applied k-1 visa ( if any one has other category visa also share experience regarding AP) How long is AP STATUS being updated on CEAC website ??

By saying that I mean I know it has to be in AP for several weeks ,months etc. but if the date changes often on CEAC website under AP STATUS ,is it a good sign & if some one know Or have experience to share that normally after how many date changing ..they finally see their status changed from AP to either APPROVED /DENIED ??

Sorry :( but its not necessarily a bad thing. i would definitely post this question in your country specific forum on here to see if that's something normal that your embassy will do or at least to get some similar experiences from there because people answering from different countries may not help you since this question is really embassy specific.

I am talking about post-interview ,& at my interview CO DIDNT TOLD ME THAT I am approved but told me he is putting me in AP?

That's most concerning :(

email the embassy. they might or might not give an extension, but it's up to them. can you just schedule the interview for a date after your fiance gets the passport but before the petition expires? good luck.

This is a great idea for thread, but is the point people read 124 pages and going or tabulated in a sheet or is it fed back into the best practices in the Guides by the Mods?

Great idea as always Heo Luoi, I am planning to consolidate this thread into an Excel sheet or Google document that everyone can view. (I figure creating it will help me know what I should be careful when I eventually file my petition for Jon)

FYI, for all those who have posted in the thread I may reach out to regarding your post via PM to get clarification on your RFE and what you sent back and when you heard back about your outcome/approval.

I plan to have it in a format like VJ Member / RFE Date/ RFE Reason/ RFE Reply/ RFE Reply Date/ Approval Date

This way you can see how many days on average it is taking to get a reply from USCIS on an RFE once it has been replied to. I hope this will help everyone and any feedback while I am creating would be much appreciated just shoot me a PM with any changes or things you think would be helpful to add to the sheet.

Thanks!

Hey guys,

my fiancé received an email on 20. October that we will get RFE for our K1 petition.

How long does it usually take until we receive the letter in mail that states what it's actually for?

And of course I'm thinking about possible RFEs the whole day...

For some reason my fiancé has no stamps from his Germany visits in his passport!? So could that be the RFE? And how can we fix it?

I talked to a police officer from the airport and he has no clue how 4 stamps (he came here twice this year. and usually you get a stamp for entry and when you leave) can be missing.... It's driving me crazy! :huh2:

I still pray for an easy to fix one, but I don't know what to do if they request the missing stamps.

BTW: I visited the States in July and I have my stamp! lol So actually they should know we've met within the past 2 years... And we also included the itineraries for his flights and mine to the K1package.

The only thing I can think of if there are no stamps in his passport he may have Global Entry. I would ask him if he paid for that. It allows you to go through the speedy line and get checked in electronically and usually there is no stamp that goes in your passport. You will check in at the electronic terminal, receive a receipt, and your receipt is checked and taken by the Customs Agent from where you entered.

I would ask him if he has Global Entry first because that is honestly the only reason I can think of as to why he may have no actual stamps in his passport.

He is military and showed them his ID card. But he's not stationed in Germany and he also had no travel orders...

How do you get Global Entry?

And a few years ago (2008) when he came to Germany he got stamps.

Global Entry is applied for through your country of residence. My parents applied for it since they travel internationally even more than I do! There is a fee associated with it but I can't remember the cost off the top of my head.

I am honestly not sure if him showing his military ID caused them to not stamp his passport, hopefully another member who is military or former military would know if that could have caused them to not stamp it. I am just a civilian.

I forgot to mention since I am working on fine tuning this thread in an excel sheet, from the data I have worked so far, it takes usually between 1 and 2 weeks to receive your physical RFE after notification via email. This is just an average of 74 members atm.

I'm sure this question has been answered on here a million times, so sorry for the repeat!

My case status says they received our response to the RFE on 10/19. About how long does it take for an approval (or response otherwise)?

We sent in our original petition last February, so we are SO READY for this to be moving along!

Thanks!

Based off of the Excel sheet I have been creating an avg response or receiving an NOA 2 after an RFE is around 2 weeks time with some outliers that have taken 2 months but those are outliers.
