Well, I've given up all hope on this entire process after having read this thread. My child will walking and talking before I even am allowed to live with him/her, and they're still in the womb!!!!!!! Congrats to the original poster, but this is just unbelievable, as unbelievable as the K-1s. Yay for my wife and I....

Congrats You are very lucky to get approved within 19days. Our USCIS journey before was so stressful. We don't know what happened to our case after we received Noa1 December 6, 2012. When I joined this site and joined the thread of Atlanta Transferrers, members there were talking about writing their state senators and congressmans. We tried contacting the senators then and congressmans. I think that helps because USCIS sent us an email September 6,telling us our case was moved from NBC to local center in Atlanta. some are lucky that they received early notice about the case transfer but not us. It was after 9 months USCIS informed us about it. September 21,2013 , my husband received a call from a lady saying she is from USCIS. He was of course surprised because who will be working on a Saturday and doing interview on the Phone? The lady just asked plainly about our relationship and emphasized on that matter about getting married after 4 months getting divorced. My husband told her the reason. Then interview finished. September 24, we received text and email, our case approved. Yes we were so happy that time after almost 10 months waiting for Noa2.

Now we are facing another challenge at NVC........another journey but its just a matter of patience.

There will always be 'odd balls out' and statistical noise.

If this becomes a trend, and I-130s start getting approved in under a month on a regular basis, something must have really gone down at USCIS.

However, there have always been fluctuations in I-130 processing times. February 2011 files waited an average of 3 months, while July 2011 files waited 7 - 8 months. We're dealing with a government agency and unpredictable case loads. Things will get backlogged. Once the backlog becomes too large, more manpower is diverted to sort out the backlog, and processing times go back down to the norm ~ 5 month. The best time to file is usually at the height of a massive backlog.

I'd estimate that people who file I-130s today will receive an NOA2 in roughly 4 - 5 months, while the processing times for I-129f petitions will become slightly longer as manpower is diverted from I-129f towards I-130s.

So basically the rest of us who filed before October are royally screwed? It took them long enough to address this, you know? It's been way too long.
