N-400 December 2013 Filers

I am so pissed! Just got n email confirmation from the neighborhood shop I sent my application with... apparently their computer automatically recognized the address as "Attn: AOS", and that's what was printed in the mail label!!!

I wrote the manager now, and will go there when they open... This will be such a big mess!!!

What do you guys think will happen? Is AOS a whole different division/place, or will the officer realize it is actually a N-400 application and just process it?

I am of course also worried about my check and pictures (don't want to have to take them again) and I'm going abroad on Tuesday.

I should have double checked the manager's work... people are so dumb! Never trust someone else!

I am so sorry. That really sucks. You may be lucky to pull through like I did. I had made a mistake as well regarding the check. I forgot to put a complete name of Department of Homeland Security. I sent it off before I realized my mistakes. All I did was to pray and God surely answered that prayer because the check was cashed 2 days later with no problem. Hopefully you will get lucky as well. God bless you. If the address is ok the adjudicator may have mercy and just let it slide.

Not sure about this. I am sure other members will lend you their supports shortly. I arrived here back in the day on IR1 10 year GC so I didnt go through any of those offices. I am hoping that they will let it slide if only they can just open the package and not be too lazy to immediately re route it to the AOS unit. I am truly sorry but I am going to be praying for you for a positive outcome.

Hi to every member on the journey, i'm filing base on been a LPR for 5 year, i will be sending my package to lewisville, TX. i'm also doing early filing, ninety(90) calendar days before my 5 years anniversary under section 319(a) and 316(a) of the INA. My package was singed for on Monday Dec 9th 13.

My package contained:

G-1145

Singed and Complete N-400

Copy of Green card back and front

two passport photo

check of $680

Eligibility 12-07-13

Send N-400 12-06-13

N-400 received 12-09-13

Check cash 12-13-13

Email & text received 12-13-13

I'm sorry that happen to you. I thought I'd be the only person with such bad luck. I am not sure about it going to different sections. But I doubt you will have as much trouble as I did. Worst case the ALS section will send it back. Best case they will walk it over to n400. Sometimes you can write notes for the deliverer based on what type of mail it is. If you sent with tracking number, create a USPS account and enter your tracking number and try to put a note for the delivery guy he will see it when he scans it. That's the best advice I can give you and we will pray for it to make it successfully.

Also in the list, my sent date looks like it was changed, it should be 12/05/2013.

Hey everyone. I am out of the USA and so i have not been updating but i wanted to say that i received my I -797C, Notice of action, telling me that they received my Application, Myh priority date is December 2. Now i am awaiting my fingerprints letter.

I will be back to the US on Monday and i hope to see my fingerprint letter in the mail when i get there. How long does it take to receive FP letter after the NOA letter?

Hey it appairs that my case and yours is moving at the same pace because they recieve my package on the 9th and my check was cash,i got email and text alert on the 13th.

Checked my bank account today and looks like my check was cashed on 12/13/2013. At least things are moving!

Also in the list, my sent date looks like it was changed, it should be 12/05/2013.

I checked my status online on the USCIS website and it says they have mailed me my fingerprint letter. I hope it will be in the mails when i get to the USA from my trip

Barkers, and I thought something like this would never happen to me... I forgot to not trust people in stores and double check. I just created the USPS account but not sure where I can put that note. I will call them tomorrow to check if there's something I can do.

I never really got what this "priority date" is about... someone care to explain?
