What is the average time between them receiving an n400 and sending a message out with the g1145

We sent out the N-400 on 11/29/13. They received it on 12/3/13 and we got the text message notification on 12/9/13.

Did you also include Tax transcripts for 3 years? Very important.

He included birth certificates of children. He doesn't need tax returns. Read an excerpt below from the Documents Checklist:

Send copies of the following documents, unless we ask for an original.

If you are applying for naturalization on the basis of marriage to a U.S. citizen, send the following 4 items:

1. Evidence that your spouse has been a U.S. citizen for the last 3 years:

a. Birth certificate (if your spouse never lost citizenship since birth); or

b. Certificate of Naturalization; or

c. Certificate of Citizenship; or

d. The inside of the front cover and signature page of your spouse’s current U.S. passport; or

e. Form FS-240, Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States of America; and

2. Your current marriage certificate; and

3. Proof of termination of all prior marriages of your spouse (divorce decree(s), annulment(s), or death certificate(s)); and

4. Documents referring to you and your spouse:

a. Tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children; OR

b. Internal Revenue Service (IRS)-certified copies of the income tax forms that you both filed for the past 3 years; OR

c. An IRS tax return transcript for the last 3 years.

I file 5 year residency so I just send copy of my greencard..passphotos,divorce degree...and cryyyyyyyyyyyy 680$

DebbyNSeyi Thanks for clarifying about sending in the tax transcripts for romnick . Instructions clear on any one document needed to establish husband wife relationship. Children's birth certificate is listed as one of the options.

I included more than requested just because were filing for 319(b) and its been less than 3 years since ive been a PR. I included 3 years of tax returns, childrens birth certificates, marriage certificates, about 6 months of bank statements to close the gap between our I751 submission and now, my husbands passport data page, i think thats it..

Ok so i called them again today to make sure it got passed the individuals that mistakenly rejected it before. And it has. I was told the person that is handeling it is usually really quick about getting it processed and taken care of. So he said dispite the bad luck i had earlier, i lucked out getting this guy. What i do not understand is that the person who said address to her is not handling it so im not sure if it went through her first and she pushed it to the next level or what but as long as its in good hands now. The person i spoke with said the packet made it passed the clericals that reject and send packets back and i should be recieving a NOA by monday.

We are filing under 319(b) of the INA which states that states (in short) that if my husband is going overseas and we are going with him (in our case military) then we can apply for naturalization regardless of how long i have been a PR. The rules state that he must be regularly stationed overseas and that i will join him within 45 days of my oath.

Heres an excerpt for requirements for fileing 319(b)

Must be married to a U.S. Citizen and living together in a valid marital union; and

The U.S. citizen must be "regularly stationed abroad' in the employment of:

The US Government; or (then it lists several others)

You must be a lawful permanent resident at the time of your interview; and

You comply with all applicable naturalization requirements of Sections 316 and 319 of the INA and Parts 316 and 319.2 of Title 8 of the Code of Federal regulations except that no particular period of lawful permanent residence is required.

Your USC spouse must have at least 1 year remaining on his or her oversea duty at the time of your naturalization AND

You must show evidence that you will join your spouse overseas within 45 days of your naturalization

You must be physically present in the United States at time of naturalization.

You must declare in good faith an intention to reside permanently in the United States when your spouses employment abroad terminates.

South Korea. We leave in march so i really hope we can get naturalized by then. I know its going to be really close especially since we were delayed because of the mistake they made with my packet making me loose half a month of time....

So good to see things move along for everyone.

I have a question: I am traveling abroad for 2 weeks a few days after sending the package. Should I do a walk-in for biometrics or will it be booked a month from receival anyway when I'm already back? Do I have to let them know I'll be away? (No one to receive notifications at home i.e.).

edit: I confess I almost forgot to sign the N-400 form! A mistake that is sure to have the application sent back to me! Good thing I realized it and signed it today!

I would always try to do early walk-in. I was even advised to do so to help my packet move faster.

Interesting - thanks Barkers! Perhaps I could do it this Monday before I leave Tuesday... but can I just go to any center or do I need the address of MY designated center? Also, just realized I'll probably not get a confirmation of receival by Monday as I'm sending it tomorrow so it will probably be weird to do biometrics before that right? Oh well... :/
