I-94 new automated system.

My wife, Hetty, did not receive a I-94 number with her visa as they are now automated but when I went to the Gov site to retrieve her number it came up "not found", does anyone know how we can retrieve this I-94 number?

you probably need to munge the A#.

it probably resembles this:

A123456789

so add a zero, so that it reads:

A0123456789

give that a whirl, report back.

Alien number (A#) and I-94 are totally different animals. A# is the number USCIS gives you to identify your case, I-94 is a FORM that certifies your legal entry under a visa.

I had the same happen to me when i came to the states under a k1 earlier this year. If you are sure you are typing in the right information and the I-94 comes as not found you will have to go to your nearest POE or CBP inspection site so they can fix this issue.

I recommend you do this ASAP since you will need this for any paperwork from now on (SSN, AOS, driving under foreign license, etc.), and it can only be retrieved for as long as the authorized stay period is valid, 90 days from date of entry for K1s.

Also play around with the name, especially if she has a long name or a multi-part name. Try taking out a space of a multi-part name, like SMITHJONES. Some people have gotten it figured with that.

For entry date, try using the day after POE also, I have read a few times where that was the case to retrieve the I-94
