I met the love of my life last May of 2013 and I went back to the state on July 14, 2013. I decided to go back and not waste any time. This is the one. I have never been married before. So, on Aug. 4 i went back to the Philippines to marry the love of my life. Now, we are both miserable not being with each other specialy, we were together for 40 days, day and night.. We got married on Aug. 22. I went back to the US on Sept 14th which is probably the worst day of my life. Now, I decided to seek help here. I want to file a I-130 visa soon. Please give me some input. Im 51 and she is 24. We truly love each other. Do you see any problem with the age difference? I am Filipino but have been living in the states since I was 15.I speak Tagalog (Philippines language) fluently. Please, give me any warnings or roadblocks that we might encounter. Also, Any past experiences that you might want to give me. I desperatly want to have my wife next to me once again soon

An I-130 is not a visa, it is the petition form you must fill out to start the process. In addition to what Darnell said, carefully study the instructions for the form itself.

Read the guide : http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1

Age difference shouldn't be a problem.

Focus on gathering the bonafide marriage evidence now.

Congrats on your marriage and good luck :)

How long do you think it will take to bring my wife here. I mean the whole process from filing to her receiving the visa. Thanks to everyone who responded. Thank you in advance for those who will answer my question.

No one can tell you how long this whole process will take.

Especially now when we don't know how fast the new NBC in Kansas will be adjudicating petitions..

Just this first stage might take a year or more. Or 3 months. Really hard to say.

Then additional 3-5 months for NVC and interview.

I do think the age issue could raise some flags, but ultimatly it will all depend on the CO. So make sure to gather any information to proofe you have bona finde marriage.

No one can give you guranteed time. If you are a USC, usually takes anywhere from 6-12 Months. If you're a LPR expect 2-3 years. Sometimes faster, sometimes alot longer.

It's amazing how many questions can be resolved with a 2 minute Google search...

you probably have air ticket receipts, and telephone bills, and chat logs.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Well what I have is a snap shot of Skype record. Skype do not provide a paper record that is sent to their users. So, i decided to take a snapshot of the screen with all of the times and dates or our contacts and also the same with telephone calls. I did the same thing because I use Vonage and they dont send out paper records. We dont chat too much since we do our conversation through phone anmd Video chat. I have copies of my ittineraries sent
(by e-mail) to me by the airline and travel agents of the dates of my flights. Are all of these documents enough of course I have tons of pictures

I love reading success stories. I am hurting right now I miss my wife and Seeing her on my laptop screen sometime is a negative coz i want to hold and touch her. I was with her for 40 days 24/7 an all of a sudden we are not able to do it right now. She is a tough cookie and tell me that she is OK . i got a FB message that she is having a hard time and do not leave her room too mucha and just waits for me to call her. I hope I can styart this process and able to be with her again

weird - vonage has online statements, and the call logs should be in there. have you seen any online statement or online call record when logged in to yer Vonage account?

In the end, lots of stuff is printable. USCIS only accepts paper.

When you find the instructions for the I-130, please review the 6 types of evidence in the instructions.

yes its a printable record for Vonage. Should I send both printable records and my snapshot of the printable record I am just afraid that they might not take the printable and downloadable records because it can be altered by using Microsoft word

no, printed evidence (printed by you) is perfectly acceptable. I sent all of my personal call logs (among other things). do note photos, call logs are secondary evidence. (Item 6 in the evidence types)
