Hi guys. I have been tying to evaluate my diploma from Greece and I keep reading this horrible reviews about Wes.org and ece.org. That they aren't serious, take your money and blah blah. So does anyone know how or a serious website or service that can evaluate my degrees. It is valid in Europe because I worked in Germany.

Are you trying to evaluate your Greek diploma in the US or in Germany? It is my understanding that Universities in the US take care of that (if you're trying to do it in the US). For instance, Bank Street College in NYC would evaluate foreign diplomas for teachers. I see that you're in Seattle... maybe call up University of Washington and ask them about this? It would seem more serious than websites that run the risk of being scams.

Hello. I am in the usa and I want it for work here. I am a biomedical equipment technician. I found yesterday an evaluation office in Seattle. Maybe I can try there but I was hesitant about these websites after a friend told me to google the reviews.

Generally an evaluated degree is not required to get a job. Did a job ask for it or are you just thinking you need to do it? Is that field something that requires a license?

I was thinking of doing it I have no idea if it has to be done for my field. I guess when I will apply for jobs soon I will found out and keep you updated. I know that jobs like nurse, doctor, vet, teacher has too. Since my field is in the medical I guess maybe I have too but as I wrote I will find when I apply.

Right, but jobs like teacher and doctor require licensing as well. If your job doesn't require a license, I'd just hold off on a certification until a job asks for it. I'm not sure what a biomedical equipment technician is, is it someone who fixes machines like MRIs?

You can find a list of National Association of Creditial Evaluation Services (NACES) approved evaluation companies at: www.naces.org

Most evalution company fees are comparable but it is important that you use a NACES approved company. Most universities and many employers will require a NACES approved evaluation to accept your foreign creditials.

I'm a US citizen but studied in Europe , I just came back to the US and when I called the Department of education here in RI they recommended Joseph Silney in Florida, so check them out. As far as I know though you only need an evaluation done if your field of work requires a license like mine does. Good luck.

You are getting ahead of yourself.

First you need a job offer, if the Employer requires a translation then you will have to use whoever they specify. It is more normal to use one of these services in the Education field.

I thought such jobs usually required an Associate Degree?

This is what I'm talking about, I'll just wait if some employer tells me they need it.

They need education for 2 years such as vocational . They don't care of its associate or bachelor ( from what I researched for)
