Hello everyone! I just wanted to give you all my status update. I woke up this morning, checked my email, screamed to my husband to wake up and told him that the USCIS sent us an email saying that WE GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!! We couldn't be more happy!!!!! We are over the moon!!!!!!! It has been exactly 8 months since we mailed in our petition; March 6th filer. So, we just wanted to share the good news with everyone and we hope everyone else gets approved soon as well!! Good luck to all! We will keep you posted!

I called USCIS to try to find out about my case and in the part where they tell you your status it said that my case had been transferred and to wait at least 180 days before inquiring about the case. YEAH RIGHT! It also told me to call back between 8am and 6pm. It's 9am. Ugh they never seem to have my time stamp right.

Congratulations! Almost same thing happened with me too; I woke up, checked the status and it said transferred. I texted my husband, he called me and told that he had already received text notification a couple hours back but didn't want to wake me up.

 

 

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.

180 days is a friggin joke. They always triple the time so they can say you are within normal processing times.

That makes me want to call everyday ... I wanna tell them to Just Process my case and I'll stop bothering you ! ! ! !ranting33va.gif

PD: March 04, 2013. I called yesterday, Nov 06, 2013 at 4 PM EST, tier 2 said case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center while the status online stil had not changed. At 7 PM, got an email of the transfer notice and status online had changed. Today, November 07, 2013, the case has been transferred to local office. Does the case really go from NBC-NSC-Local office? I am guessing not, could be an automated system.

"On November 7, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing."

Forget about getting approved, it looks like they are slowing down on even transferring. I wish I see some kind of activity on my case but its just a hopeless wish. On a good note K-1s are getting approved on faster than their national "goal" timeline so Hurray!

I just called USCIS again this morning since everyone was getting different information such as multiple different notices, notices that said local office but the case was actually sent to another regional service center, etc.

My online status says it was transferred to "local office." When I called, customer service couldn't see where it was actually going to. I assumed it was NOT going to my local office (Houston, TX), since everyone seemed to be transferring to a regional service center. I got transferred to a tier 2 representative, and he told me that it was sent to the California Service Center. He also told me that my letter was mailed on 11/5/13 and that I should receive it in the mail shortly.

I mentioned to him that all of the processing times online showed Oct 1 2012 as the most recent cases approved. He tried to look through another way to find out if he could get a more accurate timeline for them. He couldn't but he said that since they all showed the same exact timelines, that it was probably wrong, and that the next updated processing times should be more accurate.

Knowing what I know from experience having been in the military and worked with the government, after all the transfers happened, they probably just all defaulted the timeline data to whatever the longest processing time was, because they probably don't have a good estimate since they pretty much just 'reshuffled the deck.' I doubt they wanted to get anyone's hopes up by showing what the timelines were BEFORE all the transfers, which I'm sure will be extended after they receive an influx of tons of more applications/petitions.

That being said, I guess I'll just wait for my letter, and wait for the processing times to be updated (only God knows how long that will take since I don't have confidence they can crunch the data and do all the math that quickly).

Has anyone received any approvals yet from California Service Center? I've seen most posts mentioning that Nebraska was the only one that was moving quickly.

Mar 17, 2014 - CEAC website, visa status changed to "Issued." Now we wait for pickup/delivery.
Mar 21, 2014 - Juvy picked up visa from 2GO location, got CFO stamp, and I booked her ticket.

OMG ..after 8 months of nothing news about my case and never since in online now i can see new.On November 7, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address. Thank God im so happy hopefully approval coming soon

Spoke to a very nice lady who changed my address (for real this time). About a month ago I called to change it and I guess the guy didn't actually change it? Well she sent the service center a direct email telling them to update my case with my new address.

Also found out I was transferred to TEXAS. I was hoping for Nebraska since all the approvals are coming out of there, but it is what it is.

NVC- Green Card in Hand: 189 days

Feb 3, 2014: TSC sends case to NVC
April 14: Real checklist for AOS (saying tax number was incorrect when it wasn't)
April 30: Another AOS checklist, for proof of employment (which was already sent)
May 1: Checklist for IV- certified marriage certificate (even though I sent a certified one originally)
July 1: INTERVIEW!!! - APPROVED!
July 16: POE through Miami
July 22: SSN card in the mail
August 30, 2014: Green card arrives in the mail!!!
 
ROC: 366 days
April 27, 2016: Sent 300 page ROC packet to VSC via overnight mail
May 16: Check shown as charged online, received NOA 1 dated April 29
June 20, 2016- Biometrics
April 28, 2017: Approval
May 4, 2017: Approval letter arrived
May 15, 2017: GC arrives in mail
 
N-400: 190 days
May 8: Sent packet to Dallas Lockbox
May 12: NOA 1, Credit card charged
June 7: Biometrics
June 16: "In line"
Oct 2: Interview letter arrives (online status still says ''in line'')
Oct 31: Interview- Approved!
Nov 13: Oath ceremony!  Applied for passport & registered to vote on site.
Nov 22: Passport arrives (paid for expedited service and overnight delivery)
 
Journey complete! A total of 1701 days or 4 years, 7 months and 26 days.

03/11/2013 Accepted

03/25/2013 NOA1

10/25/13 Case transfered to California service center

11/04/ Approved I-130 they mailed a notice still waiting to get it
