Marife and I filed in August as well. We got our notification on September 19th that it was approved. From NOA1 to NOA2 it took 30 days. Much faster than we anticipated. It was welcome news after a few weeks of bad luck with medical emergencies in both our families. With things returning to normal and the approval, we can finally get back to working on us.=)

Has anyone from the Texas service center heard anything back about your petition? This question goes out to those who went straight to texas. Just trying to figure out a timeline for myself since that is the scenario I'am in. Also will the uscis website update on what is going on with our files (such as background checks, or viewing file, or just something to let us know what is going on with it?)

Congratulations, guys! Much needed after what you mentioned...

Best of luck for the rest of this adventure!

My petition was touched twice, once on the 8/22 (I received my NOA1 the day before), and once on 9/11 (the message stating my Alien Registration Number had changed). Nothing other than that, but I'm very hopeful, and would be very happy to see it adjudicated by VJ estimates, as that would be this upcoming month (although towards the end) anyway.

You will only see a change when it gets "touched" (it could really mean anything...look it up), and/or you get a decision (NOA2).

Best of luck to all of us!!!

Thank you for the reply. I am only seeing the original message that they had received it, but nothing more than that. Is there a certain place to click to specifically see what exactly is going on with our petition or am I looking at the right thing and they just haven't touched my file yet? My No1 date is August 1st. Doesnt seem like its going in any type of order. Good luck to all of us :D

Amy101,

It could be that perhaps the beneficiary _(in your case) already had an Alien Registration #?

I think I've read that as a possible explanation somewhere here on VJ on my "lurking" days...

There's NO specific place where to go look for extra information, only the case status check, that should initially say either:

Initial Review

On August XX, 2013, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

or:

Initial Review

On September XX, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

Mine where on August 21 and September 11.

Best of luck, hope you get a nice NOA2 real soon!!!
