Are you talking about the I 797 notice of action? Is it not the famous and mysterious NOA2? If yes, I am in the same boat than you and it is been 14 days. So we called the NVC, the French ambassy and the USCIS and without any result. I am waiting for answers. As soon as I hear something, I let you know. I know how tough it is...

Unfortunately, I read somewhere that it has to be sent to the NVC and then, they send it to your ambassy or consulats. So, if I have understood everything, the process will last 4 additional months!!!crying.gif but I don't understand why they have written that they have forwarded the I797 to "the listed consulate". It doesn't make any sense.

anyway...good luck to you and hang on!!!!The end of all of this is close :)

All approval letters for I-129F will say you are beinf forwarded to embassy. You aren't. All petitions go to NVC. They are saying 6 to 8 weeks to get there. Don't believe them. After about a week start calling NVC and ask for your case# than contact your embassy and follow what others say to do for your embassy.

many here have been saying 3 weeks to 6 weeks it took there petition to get to NVC and get case#.

It always goes to NVC, even if the letter states that it is forwarded to the listed consulate. it might take upto 2 weeks for NVC to receive the documents.

Is there a way to track it? How do you know it has been received by the NVC and sent to the ambassy?

It's been 14days that we are waiting since we have received our NOA2. Do you think it is normal?

Hello Everyone,

Sorry for the ignorant question but how does calling the NVC and getting your case number help? Is it just so you can track the status of your case or is there something more?

Thank you,

Lisa

It depends on the embassy you are going to it seems

From what I have read and been told for the Philippines I can take the email I get with the mnl# and priority date and schedule my interview

I got the email by sending an inquiry to NVCinquiry@state.gov

Including the subject line of my uscis #

And in body the names or petitioner and beneficiary along with our birthdays and asking for our number.

Now that I have that email we can schedule our interview on the embassy website and then take that confirmation and email to the hospital where the medical is done prior to the interview.

So in short I suppose it depends on the country you are working with. I would contact others dealing with the same embassy and see what you can find out

1/16/2013: NOA1
5/29/2013: XFER TO TSC
6/24/2013: NOA2
7/11/2013: Mailed to NVC
7/19/2013: Received NVC#(MNL#) in email
7/22/2013: Petition packet Shipped to Manila from NVC "In Transit"
7/24/2013: Petition package received in Manila - Consulate ready for interview
8/01/2013: Medical at St Luke's PASSED!!!
8/12/2013: INTERVIEW American CO " APPROVED"
8/13/2013: CEAC STATUS - administrative processing

8/15/2013: CEAC STATUS - ISSUED

8/26/2013: received VISA

9/05/2013: POE - GUAM -Flight from MNL to El Paso, TX- BEST DAY EVER =)

10/5/2013: Married!!

11/13/2013: Filed AOS / EAD/ & AP

11/18/2013: NOA1 all
