Hi Guys,

Our daughter changed address online. She changed address for both application (me and my wife) in one time by adding both numbers on one page. Our i130 was approved on Jan. 29th. When we check status on USCIS website it shows my wife's status now 'initial review':

Initial Review

On February 4, 2014, your address was changed relating to the I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

However for my number it shows 'post approval' activities. We are confused. Did they change addresss for both applications? Did they put my wife back on 'Initial Review' again?

Please advise

What ?

Why ?

It's soooooo overrated. lol..

For what it looks like (and for what it's worth), they've actually stopped transferring to Neb for August).

Hope it stays that away.

And i also hope that I don't get the "curse of the transfer sheet moderator case delay"

I don't think there'll be any curse, though at times I almost felt that way for being July spreadsheet moderator. I'm not really worried about July, August, esp ones at CSC (though yes some do get stuck at CSC too), I am saddened to see Nebraska, Texas lagging, and even more painful to see earlier months still waiting. I know we all get happy and come here doing happy dance when approved/transferred...but it's not until one goes through seeing others getting approved/transferred before oneself that one truly appreciates and understands the injustice of this system, the pain/frustration it causes. Let's all be mindful that even though we are happy to have moved forward, there are many watching helplessly as others move forward. Let's keep supporting those people and keep them in our prayer and doing what we can to support.

NNONONONONONONO

You got it all wrong.

By "curse" i meant to joke that you were supposedly delayed to 60 plus days despite at the CSC b/c you moderated.

Get it ?

Like the curse of the oscars.

Of course, I respect those that filed for my month and i'm here like 24/7 to support them.

Am an August filer and I am posting on this thread because you guys are ahead of us in this long drawn process. Those who already have their NOA2 and have heard from the NVC might be able to help me with this query.

I got my NOA2 on Feb 5th. When I am likely to hear from the NVC now? I ask this because my wife who is the applicant will be traveling to India from Feb 13th to 24th and she wont be able to receive postal mails during this period. Do we have a risk of getting delayed if the NVC correspondence with the NVC number comes during the period when she is out of the country? Is this communication sent through mail as well?

You shouldn't wait to hear from NVC, for one thing. It's better to call them to keep up with what's happening. Your case will probably arrive at NVC around Feb 19, but there's nothing required of you at that point. If your wife is done traveling as of Feb 25 you have nothing to worry about, it's taking a solid month after NVC receives a case for them to issue the number. And even at that point, they're not sending postal mail. When you call for your case number and IIN (again, not available until ~6 weeks after NOA2) they'll take your email addresses and further correspondence will be done electronically.
