I called the USCIS customer service line today concerning my petition. I was transferred on 06/21/2013 from Vermont to Texas, with an original NOA1 date of 1/24/2013. In listening to the information given to me, I was told that I have to wait an additional 180 DAYS FROM THE TIME OF THE TRANSFER OCCURRING TO BE OUTSIDE THE NORMAL PROCESSING WINDOW! I then talked to an agent there, and was told the same thing.

THIS IS COMPLETE AND TOTAL HORSE #######! I see that they can come after me if I don't respond to the IRS right away, but we cannot do anything to the for not processing a lawful visa request in the proper allocated time. I sent a nasty-gram off to Senator Rubio about this.

Its #######, complete and total #######.

I have the same date NOA1 of 1/24/2013, also got transferred to Texas on 6/21/2013, just got one RFE yesterday.

Be patient and you will get answer from them.

Ugh! I totally understand your frustration! I was tranfered back in May to the TSC from Vermont. It took a little less than a month to receive my NOA2 so try to be a little more positive if you can. I think the 180 day ####### is just that '#######'! They have to tell you something and why not say 6 months? You should be hearing something very soon.

First of all: Don't believe the 180 days ####### - this is so not true.

But then again you have to be prepared for this: once you have NOA2 you need to wait up to another 8 weeks till you get your new case number from NVC.

TSC obviously doesn't send the approved petitions to NVC right away - don't know why not. So the poor people that got transfered because they were over the processing time are now waiting even longer.

Very very frustrating. We wanted to marry on August 24th (NOA1 Dec 04 / NOA2 June 18). Since it took so long for NOA2 we knew we're not gonna make August but I wanted to be with my fiance by the end of September the latest (it's his birthday then). Now I don't believe I'll make it over there before winter rolls along. Because once we have the case number it's going to take weeks to get an interview at the embassy (since there are probably going to be a lot of requests at once)...

Your wedding day is supposed to be something you look forward to but for us it's so stressful and disheartening that I spent more time crying than being happy...

Personally, when I hear over the news about "Immigration Reform", this process is exactly what comes to mind. It's absolutely horrible, and no one knows what agony it is to survive it except those stuck in its cogs.

My heart really goes out to you all. Please stay strong and remember: USCIS cannot stop true love. All it can do is delay it for a little while.

Our situation - NOAA 0n 12/10 - transferred to Texas 5/28 - then the online screen went blank - no status - called they said they were requesting an RFE on June 21 - still waiting for the letter - online was updated to on July 3rd saying letter had been mailed requesting more info - again still waiting - I did clarify with customer service that the letter was mailed out on July 3 - so hopefully something in the mail this week, in regards to what - who knows.

others seem to have a quick turnaround - under 5 months and it has take them to July 3rd for us just to get an RFE - 7 months and counting - nothing much you can do - that is the most frustrating part.

What action did you take to get your case fwd to NVC and what responses have they given you? That's dissapointing again, after seeing cases should be sent immediately after approval to NVC.

There are CSC people with NOA1s from July of last year who are still waiting while CSC are already up to March (and possibly April) filers. Meanwhile, I keep seeing people who are abandoning their applications for various reasons and moving to their fiance/e's or spouse's country. One person who did this (I can't remember the country, though) said it was only a two week turnaround ohmy.png

Even the UK, who seem to be doing their d*mnedest to keep people out, list the turnaround as 2-12 weeks.

Met in person for the first time: April 23, 2011 in Docklands, London, UK
Engaged: October 29th, 2012 at the John Hancock Building in Chicago, US

Filed K-1 visa application: April 4, 2013
Received text/email notification: April 12, 2013
Received NOA1 in mail: April 17, 2013
Received NOA2 text/email: August 6th, 2013 (at 9:45pm!)

NVC received packet: August 30th, 2013

Beneficiary rcvd "Packet 3" instructions: September 13, 2013

Embassy rcvd completed "Packet 3": September 24, 2013

Police certificate rcvd: September 27, 2013

Medical Appointment: October 2, 2013

Medical Received at Embassy: October 17, 2013 (delay due to request for further info)

Embassy appointment/Visa Approved!!!: November 21st, 2013

VISA RECEIVED!!!: November 28th, 2013

Beneficiary Arrived!!!: December 5th, 2013

Married December 22nd, 2013

Filing to POE: 8 months, 1 day

I'm sorry what I meant was that, as soon as we got transfered to TSC....VSC started to approved march and april fillers...

It's insane!

Very true! I don't know what's up with my case yet - no transfer or anything at all. I filed in March, so I was really hoping to get approved this month. My friend didn't get transferred, but they got approve last month after waiting for 3 and 1/2 months.

This really is crazy. I can see why people are furious.

On October 2013, our I-129F Refused under 221(g)

So our son and I went back home to the PHL..

Another day and no notice. My congressman's office stated they contacted the TSC today on my behalf about the delay. But I almost think they are also saying anything just to shut me up. This is sooooo ridiculous.
