Hi everybody!

My question will may sound ignorant, but.... How do you check your GC status?

Is it on the ELIS website?
Cause I got my visa and I paid the immigration fees one month ago but I didn't pay attention anymore cause I was too happy to have my visa and I'm still in my country, I'll move in the USA in july. Do I have to wait for POE for them to send it?

Thanks for your help! :)

Yes on the ELIS website. You have to wait for POE before ANYTHING will happen so don't bother until after you move.

I don't understand the reason why either but your not alone. The ELIS website says optimized but when I check the case status it says my receipt number is not recognized. My husband has only been here 20 days today.

SUPER common. Even when card was produced I couldn't check it on the USCIS website. To be honest, I wouldn't bother trying until then anyhow because that's when you get the tracking number.

Hi, I have a different situation. My mother recently got the Immigrant visa that I petitioned for her. I changed my address after she got the visa.

I have not paid ELIS for green card yet. Any idea whom to contact for address change?

Did she give the CBP her new address?

If not then make sure the USCIS has the correct address by calling them, and input an address into the ELIS site when you make the payment.

It says optimized and the information below.

Request Type: USCIS Immigrant Fee Case Received Date: Jan 28, 2015 Received as: E-file Status: In Process Status Date: Feb 9, 2015 Payment: Submitted

What should I do bro?

This tells us nothing by the way.

At the top it should say Accepted, optimized, closed etc...

Tell us what THAT says.

Optimized means they have NOT produced the card yet.

You can contact your local representative or the USCIS and speak to a tier 2. Remember you have a green card valid for 1 year right now so anything that needs to be done, can be.

Still haven't recieved my card or status has been the same since Feb 9th.

Request Type: USCIS Immigrant Fee Case Received Date: Jan 28, 2015 Received as: E-file Status: In Process Status Date: Feb 9, 2015 Payment: Submitted

If you are staying near USCIS office then schedule info pass appointment.

I heard from someone that (because of any reason) card production fails then it stays in card being produced (optimized) phase. Then they need to push it once again. I think you should go to USCIS office near your home (Instead of trying to solve it through phone)...

I checked this morning to see that the case status is now closed! Does this mean I will be getting the GC soon? I still have not received my SSN. There was some mix up with my name at immigration so my information had to be verified.

Can I track the delivery of the GC?

POE: 30th April, 2015

CASE SUMMARY

Receipt ID:

Request Type: USCIS Immigrant Fee

Case Received Date: May 6, 2015

Received as: E-file

Status: Card Produced

Status Date: May 28, 2015

Payment: Submitted

Input your IOE # into the USCIS case tracker to see a tracking number. Should take 2 or 3 days! YAY!
