Green card production after ELIS

Ok so you optimized 24 Feb but no indication card production has been started... That is a bit odd I think.

Mine says for example

On February 24, 2014, the production of your new card began. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move while this card is being created, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

SusieQQQ,I paid the green card fee a week after arriving in the U.S thats why I think its delayed a bit.

Hi,

Can I get some help tracking down my husband's Greencard? We paid the ELIS fee in January 2014, he entered the US on February 1, 2014, and we still have not received his Greencard. I do not see his case status listed when I log in to ELIS here: https://elis.uscis.dhs.gov/cislogin/CISControllerAction.do?TAM_OP=login&ERROR_CODE=0x00000000&URL=%2F&AUTHNLEVEL=&OLDSESSION=

And all I see is "Post Decision Activity" when I enter my USCIS receipt # here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do

I called USCIS and they asked for the ELIS receipt #, but I don't have it and can't find it when I log in to the site either.

Any help is much appreciated! Thanks =)

Hello everyone,

It's nice to read some of you guys status are in OPTIMIZED.

My dad status still PENDING FOR REVIEW/ACCEPTED.

I paid $165 at ELIS site on Feb 02, 2014.

He entered US on Mar 06, 2014 and his point-of-entry was in VANCOUVER.

We haven't heard a thing. NO SS yet.

Do I need to take my dad to get him SS? or should I wait?

Also, do I need to email USCIS on what is going on with his application.

Another thing, his RECEIPT NUMBER START WITH IOE1234567890.

Does your receipt start with IOE?

Yes his IOE number is correct and will be on his green card. I originally thought you'd posted the actual number...

His green card will show up sometime between 1-6 months after he POE'd.

If he hasn't gotten his SSN within 2-3 weeks of POE go to a SSA office to get one.

Well, next time take a look for a 3rd time before reporting anything.

Meh not a big deal either, I was trying to protect your identity so no harm done :)

Also you would have figured out all of what I wrote if you'd read the thread first ;)

Optimized is good! Should be on the way shortly.

Grab your receipt number from ELIS (starts IOE then numbers) and see if it comes up with anything on the USCIS case status checker: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do

I actually believe applying for SS and the green card initiation are linked. We paid for green card since 1st week in Feb 2014 and POE was 27th Feb. We never received any SS Card nor green card, so we went to SS office last Friday to make a fresh application and yesterday the elis website showed optimized.

They are kind of linked.

I don't believe the SS number and green card are linked at all. We paid on Dec. 16. He entered on Dec. 24. We applied for his SSN at the end of January. It arrived a week later. His green card status is still on "accepted". Congrats to all who have their green cards! (or almost have)!!

Have you contacted the USCIS or ELIS call centers to see what's up?

NLR - yes we have. We were told to wait 60 days (from Feb 11 when we contacted them) and that unfortunately means 60 business days. And so we wait.

If anyone else has experience with Dublin Ireland as a POE - please share!

Thanks!

No for the USCIS means 60 days, not 60 business days.

Did they put in a service request?

I mean the spouse HAS a green card as the endorsed visa IS a green card valid for 1 year, so as long as the "hard copy" arrives before a year is up, yer fine, but I know we all like the hard copy. :D

Haha yes, we are eagerly awaiting the "hard copy" I will call them today and hopefully see whats up. I am inclined to believe that since Dublin is not a popular POE, it takes them a bit longer to collect packets before sending a stack of packets to Texas. I can't see it being cost effective or efficient to send the packets every time someone enters. Here's hoping!
