Not sure if I trust this enough to try it...you know what they say about things that are "too good to be true." Have you guys checked your phone bills to make sure this isn't some sort of scam? The web site looks to me a little interesting as well...

You're right to be wary about it. Well, I haven't checked my phone bill, but if ABC News wrote an article praising it, I'm sure it's pretty legit:

Thanks again

Enjoy it while it last, I called Brazil, Dublin Ireland, Germany and the voice is really clear no difference, the only problem you can't access foreign cell phone but to all landline in the foreign countries it works like a charm.

Most cell phone carry free long distance, the only thing if you are not in Iowa, you would need to dial long distance, that's the only catch.

I'll try it this weekend. If this really works, it could save me a few bucks on call to Germany. Unfortunately, Ethiopia ain't on the list and that is where the phone money really goes. Damn those phone cards...

Yeah, none of the African/Sub-saharan countries are listed... maybe they'll add some in the near future!

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

We couldn't get it to work for David's daughter's mobile phone in the UK but it did work to his parents' landline phone. I was REALLY hoping it would work for the UK mobiles. :crying: I might still sign up for a $39.99 unlimited US calling plan here so it would at least decrease the cost to the UK landline calls.

Futurephone is dead :(

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."
