I got a conditional green card by marrying a US citizen 2.5 years back. Now I have applied for removal of conditions (1-797) and already have i 797 which is one year extension for travel and work. I have traveled to Canada for work with no issues.

I got an opportunity to go on a 3 day cruise with a friend, who is more like a sister for me. My wife is aware (knows this girl really well) and she knows all about it. I have all documents - but wondering if traveling with someone other than my spouse could cause an issue? Obviously, the office at customs dont know who this person I am traveling is? Any suggestions/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

You are kidding--right? You are worried about the CBP being the morality police? They do not know if you are travelling with her or your wife. I go thru the line by myself and my wife goes thru her own line. She is using her maiden name so no one knows she is my wife. I bet you have more trouble using the extension letter than whether your wife is travelling with you and the friend is thought to be your mistress.

Have a good trip and worry about something important,

Dave

I think your conscience is asking this question.
