Beneficiaries can call too.. My husband prefers that I call NVC instead of him.. smile.png

good.gif I was the beneficiary and the only one that called NVC. My husband, the petitioner, worked full-time and wouldn't have known what to ask even if he did have time. That's why I took over calling :D

Just keeping you all updated. CC email received today 21Jun (actual CC was 19Jun).

Only 3 days to receive, congrats!

AOS sent this morning. $35 and one minor panic attack later and it should arrive by 10:30am on Monday. Still haven't heard anything back about husband's DS-3032. It was sent last Monday from England. Hope it gets there soon ClockWatch2.gif

Cover letters for the AOS aren't overly important, are they? I had made one but accidentally attached a different document twice instead of the cv, so when I went to mail it, I didn't have it to include. Everything else is there in a very neat and tidy folder, so I'm sure it's okay, but it's giving me a slight bit of anxiety.

You MAILED the DS-3032 to NVC? blink.png Why didn't you just email it? It's free and NVC gets it instantly.

Cover letters for any package (I-130, AOS, IV, ROC, N-400) are always optional. It's just a good idea to include one so the officers can see the order of documents. Definitely not mandatory though.

I am so happy.....yeah smile.png)))))) dancin5hr.gifjust called NVC...and do I have the greatest news to share..... Case complete as of yesterday per the operator ....Alhamdulilah (Thank you Allah)..........Now just waiting for the CC email...then it is onto waiting for an interview date...Nairobi embassy ...give me an august interview...(Please Allah make this happen In shaa Allah)......Good luck to everyone on their journey and thanks to Saylin and everyone that helps in this forum.

Congrats!

My NOA2 date is May 31, 2013. It has been 15 business days - 3 weeks - and NVC still does not have my case. Is there anything I can do other than emailing nvcresearch@state.gov?

Thank you for any assistance. So frustrating sad.png.

Have you called USCIS yet to confirm the case has indeed been sent out?

AOS Paid!

I didn't expect this will be today, as payment portal just today started showing me I can't access it, but just now it changed to allow it (I've been checking it like every hour)

Also received two emails:

Dear Principal Applicant:
The immigrant visa petition recently filed on your behalf is now eligible for further processing at the National Visa Center (NVC).
...
establish communication with the NVC by registering an agent and your agent's contact information with the NVC.
AND
Dear <petitioner>:
The immigrant visa petition filed on behalf of <beneficiary> has become eligible for further processing at the National Visa Center (NVC).
...
you must pay the Affidavit of Support (AOS) processing fee ($88.00 USD).
Both emails arrived at both email addresses.
Are any of these 3032 acceptance emails?

Saylin,

Yes, I called this morning. They said it was approved at the Los Angeles Field office (the last I heard it was at the Santa Ana field office - not sure why it got transferred, but apparently it got transferred on May 23rd. Approval was May 31st). They said they didn't know if it has been mailed out and submitted a service request... They couldn't tell me when I would get a response to the service request.

Anything else I can do?

Thank YOU!

UPDATE

NVC RECEIVED OUR CASE!

I called the NVC today and they said the case was received on June 17. I almost didn't call, because I was waiting for an update from my Congressman.

An IO at the Newark field office told my Congressman's office on June 12 that they still had the file and were going to review it again and then give them an update. I called my Congressman's office on June 18 to follow up, and the staff assistant said she was still waiting for an update from the IO in Newark and was going to give them until the end of this week before contacting the IO again. I guess the IO never gave them the update...

But I'm sure if I didn't contact my Congressman, the file would still be sitting in Newark. BIG thanks to Darnell for the advice. Now I just have to wait for the Case and IIN #s. But what a relief to know it's at the NVC!

I just asked the same question yesterday. There is no hard rule. If you care to still be able to use those originals when you get them back at the interview, then write the # with pencil (I used #2, not mechanical - it is easier to erase). People from countries where they can easily get another original issued, and don't care to ruin this one, have written with black pen. NVC doesn't care.
