Guys, never mind. I think i got the answer to my question. This topic was addressd by Saylin in the FAQ section on the first page. I almost fell off my chair when i saw it the first time, but it appears it could be a good news as my bills may be in the invoicing stage.

Thanks smile.png

Um, some error messages are good news, but yours is talking about termination. I'd highly suggest calling up NVC first thing Monday morning and inquire. Hopefully it's just an error...

The paymnt portal is back, and when checked, my staus displace the following message "

This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately."

Guys, is this normal? I am quiet worried with now.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Termination is a bad thing. Please to call NVC on Monday and talk with a supervisor.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Hi Saylin,

I will surely call NVC first thing in the morning on Monday. I read in the FAQ section that this could be an invoicing message under "Help! I can't sign into the payment portal. Why?"

I also saw your response to the same question here "http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/362750-nvc-website-erroranyone-else/"

Hmm, didn't think I had the termination error message on that FAQ question. It probably means nothing and is just an error like the others, but I'd still suggest calling up to inquire, just in case. The most frequent error messages people get before a bill is invoiced are the first and last examples I gave in that question in the FAQ section. It's probably nothing to panic about as I don't see why your cases would be in the process of being terminated, but out of the 3 messages, that would be the one to call up and check with NVC.

Ours is showing the same message too. It might be caused by the maintenance? If it doesn't change by Monday, I'm gonna call too.

NBI clearance has 1 page half page is for requesting party and half is for you. did you the whole page. As we know NVC will send back the original to the us embassy where we going to have the interview. do you know the expiration date of your NBI. if its expired prior to your interview you need to have a new one. and if its not yet expired that will be ok. I am Filipino. i send half page of my NBI to NVC the other half its for me to keep. and I had a 1 year expiration on my NBI clearance

Now. FAX IT OUT to their office.

SCAN the signed version, send it off in an email

well, wait.

Monday. On Monday - call in, ask for the name of the immigration liason staffer, ask for their email address as well.

But - fax it in AFTER talking with the ILS human. EMAIL IT IN as well. Make it a file attachment, and in the body of the email, include the biodata on the 2 of you, which local office it was approved at, and tell the ILS human (in the email) that you are concerned that the local office is planning to route it to NRC when it should, instead, be routed to NVC.

I would not wait on NVC at all. Review my profile, you'll see the #@#$ing hurdles I went through on this silliness.

IMO, these be 2 seperate paths to hunting down the casefile. Memphis waited 60 + days and contacted NVC often - no other venue. An ILS human will contact the local office and see what's what, and give direction for getting the casefile out to NVC.

Using the TELEPHONE first alerts the ILS human to the problem (even they won't start on it that second) but if'n yer fast on Monday, the ILS human will start the work on Tuesday. Sure, it's going to be 10 days before you hear back, but if you don't start, you won't know.

I'm a bit different in my approach to this - I did not do it the SAME way that Memphis did. Sure, I utilized NVCResearch, but it was only 1 of 3 things that I did to coax my casefile out of the local office and get it into NVC.

Just a quick update and some additional questions...

I am still going to call on Monday, but I decided to mail the contact form to my congressman's office yesterday to get a head start since his office is not far from where I live. If I'm lucky, maybe they'll already have the form when I call...

I did some searching on VJ and found this post: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/426930-case-lost-between-uscis-and-nvc/?p=6234248 . They said sending an email to Public.Engagement@uscis.dhs.gov got them answers as to where their case was. However, this was the only post I could find where someone used this email address for this purpose. Any thoughts on if you think it's a good idea to send an email here?

I told my wife this morning what's going on and she spent our whole conversation on Skype crying. She's so afraid that our case is lost and that we'll have to start over. I tried reassuring her by saying it's probably at the NVC sitting in their mailroom and no one has touched it yet. I am hoping that's the case in all this...
