@ missing her so

I would check the embassy reviews, they give pretty good details as to how long it may take for the case to be sent to the embassy.

I know the wait is about 1 to 2 months for Trinidad.

@ missing her so

the last review for Malaysia was in august of last year, and yes, it does appear the time from the noa2 to the interview is about two months

Hi there!

I truly understand how you feel. I filed at the beginning of February but my case was accepted on February 21st. Now we just have to sit and wait. I get a lot of mixed messages. I've called immigration several times and I get different information from each person I talk to. Our application was sent to the Vermont Center and it says that on average it takes about 5 months to do the initial review. Then after that it should take another month or so. I know its hard, trust me I feel your pain. I left him in Jordan 2 months ago to this date and this process is killing me. Thank God for Skype and the Whatsapp application on my iPhone or I think I'd go A-wall. I actually looked up flights to go and visit him (about $1500) but it would kind of defeat the purpose of my coming back from Jordan which was to get my life situated and financially secure so that when he gets here things can go as smoothly as possible. But there are a few things I wanted to point out to you while we are waiting. Zeyad (my fiancee) was living in Abu Dhabi for about 2 years when he was like 20. It states on the government website that if the foreign fiance has lived in any country for more than 6 months since the age of 16, they are going to need a police report from that country basically stating that they didn't cause any ruckus while they were there. Zeyad went to the Emirate embassy and they said it will take about 5 weeks to get this certificate. Although this has yet to be requested from us, we decided to take precautionary action. Its a good thing we did since it is going to take more than 5 weeks. I would have hated for this to delay his interview after the initial review is complete. So if your fiance lived elsewhere, I suggest she get on that ASAP. Also it states on the government website that there are a lot more forms such as the I-134 and the DS156 and the DS156K and the DS230 that will need to be completed and brought to the interview when your fiance is finally instructed to go in. So you should get on top of that since they are time consuming just like the initial packet. This way your fiance has all of her documents ready so she can go in and get her interview and be in your arms in the least amount of time possible. My suggestion is to keep the faith. I pray as many times a day as I can. If you're not religious, then try channeling the success by picturing her here with you as often as you can. Stay positive! I really think that a positive attitude will get all of us through this tough period.

We're Feb 6th filers and we're hoping to get the NOA 2 by the beginning of August and then anticipating the interview about 2 months after that. If, we have the visa in hand by mid October then I think we would be ecstatic :)
