We are 2 days after you. How did you schedule your infopass appointment and what do you hope to accomplish with it? My fiance who is the US resident feels we are out of things to do now that we've contacted our congressman and been turned down. Is the infopass a viable option? I thought we'd need to wait until 7 1/2 months to schedule it. If you did it I think I can to! Oh... did you do it on the USCIS website?? I looked for the link for it yesterday for a bit and didn't see it. Thank you and best of luck.

I was on the wrong page for infopass. I just booked it. I guess we'll see what they can tell us. I am not sure it will be worth our time. Hopefully it will be.

This slow down is so disheartening. In a few days we mark our 6th month. We sent an email to Congressman Mike Honda and Senator Barbara Boxer and still waiting for their reply or non-reply. (sigh) Also scheduled an infopass for May 14th. I hope all these efforts do not go to waste.

I agree with Lynkali, we should keep the noise going... they should be aware of what's going on @ CSC.

I wouldn't hold my breath with Honda, and I haven't heard of any success with Boxer or Frankenstein, but then again all you have is time on your hands, so it won't hurt to try them.

Please update on the post in my signature if you do/don't have any success with them.

We are also early November. If the CSC stoppage continues into middle of next week might consider making another Youtube video.

To make it simpler for beginners like me, could you give us a rough template of the sort of thing to write, or how to word a letter to the Ombudsman. I am keen to do whatever I can to help put the pressure on!

I agree, but remember that even if you filed more recently -- even if you haven't even filed YET -- as a concerned citizen you are always able to contact your senator/representative, and more importantly the USCIS Ombudsman. You don't have to mention any casefile number just to let them know that there is a problem and you are concerned and want them to be aware/look into issues involving the service centers.

When I wrote emails and hard copy mail letters last month, not once did I even mention that I had filed a petition at all, much less a case number. I still got responses from the Ombudsman and feel that I was one of a large number of complaints that finally caused them to pay attention. Now that my case is approaching its due date, I might mention the number, but there's no reason I would have to.

Hello Brothers and Sisters

We have reviewed 385329 CSC petitions, dating from 09/27/2012 through 02/04/2013. This data is accurate as of 05/04/2013.

There have been 6253 I-129F petitions between those dates.

We have determined that the perceived slowdown at CSC is indeed accurate and the following data will support that fact.

We have determined that there is a clear line of activity focused on files filed prior to 11/01/2012. We will provide supporting data for this at a later date.

In the following data each date shows how many I-129F files were reviewed resulting in either a NOA2 approval, NOA2 Denial, or RFE. This ALL CSC I-129F petitions between 09/27/2012 and 02/04/2013 not just the ones present on this site.

We will present more data as we have the opportunity to review and discover patterns.

Wow, TylerDurden, that's quite some hard data there. I'm assuming it was compiled by manually checking WACxxxxx case numbers? Since I don't know of any other way you'd be getting that information.

If so, props to you for a lot of TEDIOUS checking. It's a fascinating list and yes, extremely illustrative of the problem at CSC. I'm impressed, although at the moment I don't know how to make use of the data since I'm still waiting on a response from the Ombudsman and don't want to push my luck by annoying him/her.

But thank you and I hope we can all see the problem based on those numbers!

Relationship since April 2006

Based on collected data, CSC needs to review 72 petitions per day resulting in an Approval, Denial, or RFE in order to keep pace with the current backlog.
As you can see the current processing over the past 3 days averages as 60 per day.
There are currently 4413 files outstanding that require initial or REF review for the same period.
For example this means, that unless CSC increases the daily review level to compensate, filers from February can expect normal reviews to begin 08/19/2013.
We are still reviewing the data to have a more accurate analysis.
