perhaps it's time for the petitioners to regurgtate their Congressmen to keep the heat on the CSC

I wonder if anyone has emailed the ombudsman and asked why there is a slowdown?

I wonder if anyone has emailed the ombudsman and asked why there is a slowdown?

I'm actually planning on doing that tonight after work. I've had great luck in actually getting answers (that USUALLY make sense and seem accurate) from the Ombudsman email, three different times that I've emailed. I'll put together a sternly worded question email tonight and see if it gets any response, not holding my breath though.

Fantastic. I asked because I have heard from others that usually you will get a genuine response from the ombudsman. Let us know if you get a response and what it says.

I agree, but remember that even if you filed more recently -- even if you haven't even filed YET -- as a concerned citizen you are always able to contact your senator/representative, and more importantly the USCIS Ombudsman. You don't have to mention any casefile number just to let them know that there is a problem and you are concerned and want them to be aware/look into issues involving the service centers.

When I wrote emails and hard copy mail letters last month, not once did I even mention that I had filed a petition at all, much less a case number. I still got responses from the Ombudsman and feel that I was one of a large number of complaints that finally caused them to pay attention. Now that my case is approaching its due date, I might mention the number, but there's no reason I would have to.

I want to make sure that I understand this correctly. Some people who submitted their petition for a K-1 visa in Aug, Sept, and Oct have not received their NOA2 yet. I planned to submit my petition in September so that the interview would be around the time my tax transcript will be available (hopefully around April 2014) for my 2013 earnings so that I don’t need a co-sponsor however if the processing is this slow I may want to consider filing this month. What do you all suggest?

I do agree that we need to put pressure again to CSC... I just hope that even that approved petitioners would help continue with battle.

It looks like they have slowed down, but I pray they won't come to a grinding stop like what happened a few months ago. Waiting is a painful process but that's just how it is.

They definitely slowed down again... it's about 7Pm here in california and not a single approval...

I really hope that you're right.

IF there are anymore July to Sept filers that are waiting please let us know

As for October filers there are 68 unapproved and 18 of those have RFE.

I'm still waiting! No RFE and no NOA2 and my NOA1 date is September 6th. I have no idea why it is taking so long for my petition to be approved. Hopefully any day now though.

Have you called the customer service to inquire about your petition? Or at least calling your rep or sen? They are definitely stop or slowed down on approving again...
