Not nearly enough time. Two trips- total time 10 weeks. With USCIS just teasing me this week with touches and no approval, I am now thinking another trip should happen since it doesn't look like the interview will occur until next year.

ETA: I think I am lucky though that in the time I was there I traveled most of the country and was exposed to many cultural, educational and other types of interaction with the locals. I feel I have a strong understanding of the country. Actually fell in love with the country before meeting the fiance

i came here with my hubby and have lived here since Jan 17 2006 left for 7wks in the summer.....and will be leaving again before my 1yr mark. i am sure we will come back

if you're applying for a visa, then that means your fiance probably hasn't visited the u.s., and how else could you have visited your fiance unless you went to a third country? (also if it's none, then it could fit in the less than one month category, could it not?)

Although there are many fiances who have tourist visas, come on VWP, come from Canada, were here working, etc.

10 days ... less time than he'd spent in the US *before* applying for his work visa. A lot of people are from VWP countries. And he'd been living in the US for six months when we filed the first marriage-based application (joint I-130/I-485).

We're planning to go for a week or so next spring, if ticket prices come down. Right now round trip is about $1100 each.

He has spent more than 4 years in Germany.

I lived there for two years and have spent a ton of time there. This year I've spent almost 3 months there over 6 different trips.

I visited her for a total of about 4 months over 3 visits. I had planned to stay with her the entire time that we're waiting for her visa, but that plan did not work out. I'll be going to visit her again if she doesn't get her visa by next summer.
