I was in the Philippines 4 times last year for a total of about 3 months. It was enough for me. I really liked the PI the first 2 times but then the poverty and greed of the people got to me as well as the heat and traffic.

Lived with him for almost five years. Lived with his family for almost 6 months before that. Was there before I met him for three months. Since September 2005 have visited him three times for a total of a month and a half.

And I wonder why my family says they're not surprised I'm going to marry a non-USC.

we met in a 3rd country, was there for 6 months together

i visited him in England but we were probably only there for 5 days, the other 5 spent in other parts of Europe

but he's been here in NYC many many times in the past 4 years and have stayed at the least a couple of weeks at a time, the last visit, he was here for about 2 1/2 months, only left less than 3 weeks ago.. i miss him so much! :(

so my vote was less than 10days

My fiance has been over 4 different times for a total of 8 weeks together. I've never been there just yet. In over 2 years of knowing each other, we've talked almost everyday. Probably less than 10 days without talking. He's my best friend, sure I've never been to his home country, but I know more about this man then I know about anyone else. And vice versa. It would have been great to just be able to go live in his country instead of being apart this whole time, but we gotta take what life throws at us. And some might find it shocking that we haven't spent that many days together before we decide to get married, but it's a risk I'm willing to take. It's a risk that my brother married his wife after dating 8 years. They are not more likely to stay married than we are. Have you seen the divorce rate?? It really depends on how hard the couple is willing to work on their relationship together, rather than how many days they've been together.....

I've been over here in Britain for 11 and a half years (gulp), pretty much my entire adult life. When we finally make it back to the States I anticipate a massive culture shock for us both. :o

Well, I have been over to England once to visit Spence and his family. Was there in England for only a week, then we spent the second week in Tenerife in the Canary Islands.

While Spence has only been over here once to visit me, he used to work on a cruise ship about 10 yrs ago, so was in and out of port in the US for about 3-4 yrs.
