When I check the case status it said my AP has been approved and was mailed out on march 8th. And today is April 7th I have not gotten any mail yet. And I really need to go back to my country on April 16th (I already bought the flight ticket). What should I do with this? If I make appointment at the field office, are they really able to help me out?! Anybody pleaseeeee help me!!!! ( I'm cryinggg~~~)

Ordinarily I would suggest making an Infopass appointment at your local office and enquiring there, but I doubt there will be any slots before the 16th.

You absolutely should not depart the US until your AP is in your hands.

Not a K-1 process or procedure - moved to adjustment of status forums.

Call them on Monday, see what they say. If nothing, make an infopass - get a stamp in your passport and travel using that.

She won't be able to receive an I-551 stamp because her I-485 is pending and has not been approved.

The local office may be able to expedite a fresh AP application, or tell you where the existing card is.

Did you apply for the EAD too?

That is your EAD/AP combo card. It works as your EAD and AP both. You do not need an appointment with USCIS. You have had your AP since you received your EAD/AP card> http://www.uscis.gov...0004718190aRCRD

Any source for this?

The OP said she had filed for AoS but had not received her AP. Departing without AP would have abandoned her application.

Since it's now clear that she did receive her AP and was simply unaware that it was on her EAD, the situation is resolved and no Infopass or other intervention will be required.

AP lets you travel when you don't have your green card. You just travel with your AP on your EAD card. You show your AP to get back into the USA.

A re-entry permit is for when you will be outside the country for more than 1 year. Will you be gone more than 1 year? and thats why you need a re-entry permit?

You don't have a re-entry permit, even though you applied for it. Obviously the office that handled your case fixed your mistake for you, and approved you for AP. The AP is ON your EAD card. Your EAD card says "serves as 512-L Advance Parole." That will allow you to travel. That is your AP. AP = Advance Parole.

They can fix small mistakes like that, and they did. Your proof is in your approved AP on your EAD/AP card.

AOS for my husband

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
