Please help me,

I have a very bad feeling and very stressfull after our interview.

It take 1 hour and 15 mins

We were with the OI and his supervisor

They asked us more than 50 questions, maybe 100...and we answered all of them

Finally The OI gave us a file:

Reason for continuance

Your case is being held for review. At this time, USCIS does not require any further information or documents from you. Sould further information or documents be required, you will recieve a notice in the mail....etc(....)

No stamp, No ask yes/no questions.

Please I would like to know if that mean "Denied" ? How long do we have to wait? anybody in the same case?

:crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

They are holding your file for further processing. If they cannot approve you at this time they can request a second interview, or they can visit your home. You just wait.

AOS for my husband

ROC:

Thank you very much for your response

So that mean they do not denied my case?

Do you think they will approve us without 2nd interview/visit home or not?

I don't know why did the interview took too long, the OI looks like unprofessionnel and the supervisor was in the room to help him and ask us a lot of question. And the OI stick a lot of post it to our AOS package. I felt like he's training to become a OI. Our only red flag might because I get married with VWP.

I'm very anxious and feel very sad... :(

Please god help me

I was just about to say- USCIS just did a national hire not too long ago, and it could be that they are going through a training period now and practicing on you. This is totally speculation though.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't do the yes/no questions. If they decide to deny your case, you'll know. But I suspect you'll just get another interview or an approval. Unfortunately it seems like you're just going to have to wait :/

What kind of proof did you submit in your AOS application packet and what did you bring with to the interview? Also, where are you located/which USCIS office did you have to go to?

What kind of proof did you submit in your AOS application packet and what did you bring with to the interview? Also, where are you located/which USCIS office did you have to go to?

Types of the questions like:

- Full name

- Date of birth

- My address

- What is my job in Germany? / Date?/ my pay?

- How long did I stay first time and second time in US?

- About my previous divorce/ Why? / What is my ex wife name/ what is her job

- How do I know my wife and her family ( Because my friend is a friend of her family)

- What is the name of my friend/ Where does he live/ what is his job?/ Did I travel with him, where and how?

- Did my family know my wife?

- Did they help me to financial?

- When did they know about our wedding?

- What did I say when I propose my wife?

- What was her response?

- When did we plan our wedding? /with who?

- How many bedrooms/car at home

- What is my mother/father in law's job?

- (.....) can't remember

They didn't ask us about our relationship, maybe just 1 or 2 questions. I can't remember all of the questions, during more than 1 hour they ask us like a criminal. We've submitted our certificate of marriage/birth, join bank account(statement), affidavit of my mother in law, her passport, esta, my ticket with return, no lease, album photos (they've just took some of them and did copy).

Hope it will help you and goodluck

Thanks for the reply. I hope that you guys hear something soon about next steps. I'm crossing fingers and toes and praying that our interview goes smoothly. I guess there's really no way to know or predict until you're actually there. I am a little concerned that our interview is 2 days away and my husband can't locate his original birth certificate. After his father mailed it to us, he took it and put it in a "safe place" so "it wouldn't get lost" and now he can't remember where that safe place is. Lovely. Keep us updated when you hear something from USCIS!

Dont be nervous. 2 years ago, i was freaking out as we got married in 5 days that I came over here. We were both scared that they will deny me but I got approved. Because we were both scared My husband decided to hire a lawyer just during the interview and thats easy $750! But the interview was good, lasted 5 minutes.. The officier kept asking my lawyer about insurance claims coz he had an accident in the morning..

Like everyone says, it will be a waiting game scenario with them depending on the officer assigned to you.. Be positive! It will be approved,

I had AOS interview 3 days ago, and I am happy to share the questions my husband and I were asked. Adjusted from B2 visa.

1. How did you meet?

2. When did you start dating?

3. What did you talk about on the phone, chats? (during our dating we were separated for a while as my husband is a US military service member and served in the Middle East)

4. For myself: How many times I visited the USA while I was dating my husband?

5. For my husband: When did you propose, describe it.

6. For myself: Do you remember the date when your husband proposed to you?

7. What was the reason for you to come to the US?

8. For myself: Did you plan to go back, did you have a return ticket. ( Note: You may be also asked to show ties to your home country that you intended to go back if you adjust from a tourist visa. Also, timelines are important. (30/60/90 rule).

We were also asked to show documents proving that we "live as marriage". They also asked for the photo album to look through. We had 150 photos from our trips in Europe, and wedding photos, which seemed enough.

My advice is just to be prepared and have complete paperwork/documents ready as requested in the notice letter. Be honest. If you are truly married and live together, you will not have problems answering the questions! Again, each case is different, depends on your circumstances and your case etc. Hope my input helps a bit. I wish you ALL Good Luck!

September 2010 met in Germany

October 2010 started dating

September 2012 got married

26 December 2012 - Filed for AOS

11 March 2013 - AOS approved (DAY 72)
