That's the first thing I thought...I know, I'm bad!

Seriously, I'm glad he's ok and coming home. I freaked out a few weeks ago, when the same thing happened with my husband. He was over an hour late, he forgot his cell home and nobody would answer his work phone...I was going crazy!

It turned out he was stuck in traffic (there was a huge wreck on the highway) and couldn't do anything about calling, having left his cell home. I felt so guilty because I was so mad and the first instinct I had when he got back was to yell! ...But now he never forgets his cell home anymore! :hehe:

Glad everything is ok and your husband's coming home...try not to get too mad at him! :D

So glad he is ok........ nothing is wrong with worrying... at least it shows you give a dang...

tell him how it made you feel... talk it over.. work out a plan or some sort of code if he cannot answer the phone... . myself.. if we cannot pick up the phone due to meeting or having to shut off phone because of work.. we at least try to send a simple sms or when the phone rings.. we click it off.. .. only time the call gets disconnected before two or three rings is when we have to shut it off. its our little way of saying oops cant get to the phone.. .. stilll.. I hear ya concerning why the heck couldnt he at least let you know he was stuck or unable to get a message to you.. .. why did it take you finding out from another employee at the office to say he finally left>?? that in itself would be my argument.. .. .. still.. remember.. make up is the best part.. heheh

I had the same worries just a couple of weeks back. My husband wouldn't call and was about two hours late. His phone was turned off but I always say...NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS. If something really happens, somebody will call you. Turned out, my husbands unit had to clean their rifles and they wouldn't let anybody go home before the very last spot was gone.

my husband did that to me when he first came here. he stopped over to a friends house and he was in dress clothes so his friend offered him some scrubs to put on so he could be confortable and i kept calling and calling his cell phone and he forgot it in the bedroom when he changed clothes and didnt hear it ringing. he didnt call me cuz he thought i would be sleeping (cuz i worked midnights) so he didnt want to bother me.

needless to say...i called the hospital emergency rooms and state highway patrol checking to see if he was in an accident. everything turned up negative.

a few hours later i called the cell phone and he finally answered. man i was so worried. but i sure wanted to kill him when he got home. ended up not getting any sleep so i didnt go to work.

I'm glad he is ok. I've been there as well so don't worry about worrying. It means you care. My husband has been late leaving work a number of times and generally, because of traffic, I don't call until he is quite late. I too get nervous if he does not answer his phone. Generally, when I do get through to him, it is because he was caught up in traffic and not able to answer the phone, or busy in a meeting that had gone late. He knows I worry so has become really good now at letting me know if he is running late or caught in traffic. Don't be mad with him when he gets home. Just let him know that you were upset and worried because his being late was so out of the ordinary and you were worried he was sick or injured in an accident. Ask him to make sure he calls you to reassure you if it happens again. He will be a lot more receptive to remembering to call if he isn't feeling defensive.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I'm a worrier too and this has happened to me before. The first thing I do is give him a hug and tear up out of joy that he is okay and then I pinch him for not having called or picked up his phone. There is so much ####### to worry about in the world it is impossible to stay calm in times like that.

I'm glad that all is well. He was probably caught in a meeting or something came up at the last minute. That happens to me more often than not at work. However, he's in trouble for not calling you before leaving work. LOL!!!:P:whistle:
